Nothing to do with the player or the agent this time. Informal agreements have been made with the player and agent however Celtic are playing hardball and are looking for more money upfront from us whereas we are only willing to offer a certain amount up front plus structured add ons. Am sure it will all be negotiated in the end there is always a middle ground. Top and bottom of things is we want the player, the player wants to come to us and Celtic want to sell the player, its just that an agreement on all sides has to be reached first. Patience lads ;) :ayatollah:

i wouldnt say its dead in the water yet. No one else seems to be coming in for him and it certainly looks like he doesnt want to go to southampton.

So Celtic refuse our offer and its the players fault.

Well done, you have no brain.

top and bottom of it.. seems we ARE offering enough but the terms don't suit. its not dead in the water. £10m+ is a lot of money for Celtic nowadays. i doubt many clubs come in with straight cash in this day and age

Craig, you are misguided in the post..whether he signs or not: the Fee for Celtic would have to be met whether he wants to play for us. What gets my goat up is that if he really wanted to play for Cardiff, then he would have signed, after the Club would have given him a positive reason for doing so. Wanyama, is a quality 'Player' I give you that. But when he is advised by People who dont know shit as to the direction in which it is going, only to "get him a better offer", then Wanyama and his Representatives are clueless. Let him go to another Club. To be honest,I think he is much misguided by his advisors and Celtic FC.

Complete supposition on your part.If what you say is factually correct then you are the most ITK on this board, bar none. But I think you are second guessing so it all sounds like is sour grapes coming from you.

Steve i think what Craig is saying that Celtic gave us permission to speak to Wanyama and his agent while Cardiff and Celtic haggled over the price, we agreed terms with the player but not with Celtic, so its hardly his or his agents fault :malky:

It is quite clear that the player/agents appears to be happy with the terms , it is Celtic who are not happy with the fee and how much they get up front. How can Celtic be happy if Southampton offered more?

If we lose this deal it'll all come out in the wash as to why but I'm not prepared to think this deal is dead until the club say so.And if it is then so be it but as of now I hold nothing against the player or his agent.
