Carlo Nash....

Thu Jul 04, 2013 3:55 pm

Sky Sports understands Norwich and Cardiff are eyeng moves for former Stoke goalkeeper Carlo Nash.

Nash is available on a free transfer after being released by Stoke earlier this summer.

The 39-year-old has a wealth of experience making his name at Stockport County before joining Manchester City in 2001.

Norwich boss Chris Hughton is in the market for goalkeeping reinforcements having seen Jed Steer move to Aston Villa and also Lee Camp depart following the expiration of his short-term deal at Carrow Road.

The Canaries are also fighting to keep hold of John Ruddy, with Chelsea keen on the England keeper and Nash would prove a capable deputy to Mark Bunn and Ruddy.

However, they could face competition from Cardiff for Nash with Malky Mackay in the market for a No.3 goalkeeper to provide cover for David Marshall and Joe Lewis.

It's not strange. We need a 3rd choice keeper because we only have two.

I suppose, Parish probably won't cut it, or has he been released?

Explain why in 60 words without using the words "because" "and" and then also insert words "refrigerator" and the phrase "we jammin"

Norwich City have signed veteran goalkeeper Carlo Nash on a 12-month contract.

The 39-year-old had been a free agent following his recent release by Stoke City.

His arrival has also allowed manager Chris Hughton to sanction a loan switch for young keeper Declan Rudd, who will spend the upcoming campaign with Preston North End.

"It is now important to us to bring in a keeper of great experience and a player that is used to living life in the Premier League," Hughton told the club's official website.

"The move also allows us to send Declan Rudd out on an extremely valuable season-long loan to Preston where he can get some football under his belt."

The Canaries are the 12th club that Nash will have represented.
