There is no point me forking out for a season ticket as I work during a lot of the games. I bought a Gold Membership in the hope that perhaps I can at least go to a few games. Does anybody know how hard its likely to be to get a ticket with a gold membership? Have I got much chance of seeing a few games, and if so are they likely to be just the less glamorous ones?

there is 5000 gold memberships and only 1500 match-day tickets available so its going to be hard , your best bet is to try and buy tickets on day of release (usually 4 weeks before a game)

I'm in the same situation. I hope it works out.
Anyone know how many gold memberships have been sold?

Anyone heard anything back? On my cardiff city website account it says one is paid for but I've had no confirmation email or any info. I emailed a pic as soon as I bought it

Actually yeah I did get that email looking back. Must have been pissed. But nothing else since. Doesn't really explain the process of when you get etc. Oh well guess it'll sort itself

They'll ship the cards first week of August. Seems a bit late but that's what they say.

I was thinking you could find that a good sized portion of people who bought the gold memberships will spend the voucher and wont bother going to many or any games. On top of that you will have many people who wont be able to make a lot of games hence thats why they didn't buy a season ticket. It could be that if your quick you could see quite a few games and there might even be one or two left for silver memberships.
I know when I run races you always have many drop outs, often as much as a third of people (way beyond injuries) who plan for months to do them, and they have paid up front!
Week in week out with the cost of buying tickets I think it could be much higher than that at times.I think certainly lesser games will be easier to get tickets for. What I'm saying is these gold memberships might enable you to see more games than you think.

Your all a bunch of loons , I use to stand on the bob bank and the nearest person would be 20 yds . away now you got to pay 40 quid just for a chance to buy a tkt. f**k moving with the times I know when i'm getting ripped of.

I reckon if you are registered on the ticketing website and keep on top of the release dates for tickets you will get a ticket every time you want one.
Even if the club has sold 5,000 Gold Memberships, not all will be up for every game every other week and many will not be aware of the release dates.
Be ready to buy as soon as they are on sale and the membership will be worth it.

i have shunned membership. ill just attend cup games where no fucker goes anyway. paying for a chance to get a ticket just a joke. when i took a mate to anfield for their birthday a couple of years ago all i had to do was phone up and buy the tickets... didnt need to be a member or nothin. the clubs taking the piss cos its a sellers market this season. tv season for me til the expansion and the glory hunters get bored.

Nothing wrong with the idea. Released now so no-one has to complain about having money as they were on sale in June early.

You think thats bad! If you enter the London Marathon you have to pay something like £40 just for a chance to be in it. Nine times out of ten you get f@@k all for your money. Alternatively you could raise £3000 for a charity or prove you can run it quicker than most people your age! Makes this deal look sweet, all you have to do is pay £40 and know when to pick up the phone. Happy days!

I don't think it will be one £50 voucher. It said £50 worth of vouchers to spend in the store though out the season.

I think a lot of people who bought one like myself can't go to the every game so I don't think you have a 1 in 5000 chance. Like someone above says if you keep on top of the release date you'll get one easily for most games. Only games that I can see real competition for is the top 4 Spurs, Liverpool and Swansea. Honestly can't wait for the season to start now. I bought mine over the phone but haven't recieved anything as way of confirmation yet. Who do I send my picture to?
