' Latest news at Cardiff City stadium. '

3rd July 2013.

New astroturf the length of the pitch is now complete(dug out side).
Two metres have been added to the pitch ready for the Premier League as our pitch needed to be bigger.

All hawk eye cameras are now all installed.

There has been a lot of rumours going around, the seats being added at this time are blue and any new seats that are installed prior to Septemeber will be blue but after September any seats added to the stadium will be red.

Areas to the Canton stand stairwell all walls are now red, due to the Welsh Tourist boards, advertising/sponsorship and setting up in areas.
All Scaffolding is in place ready for the new Gantry, there has been a few delays on this project, but all back on track now.

PMG debt is now officially paid off.
PMG are no longer to do with the Premier seats.
Paul Guy has stepped down from the Cardiff City board.
Paul Guy is actually moving to Dubai.

i really hope your wrong about new seats being red and the red paint!ive always believed we would return to blue but with a red fu*#ing stadium it would make it even more difficult!Im sure when we got promoted in an interview Tan said their will be no further re-branding of the club?surely turning a blue stadium red is classed as re-branding!hope this is false info!

So where is this gantry going ,someone said on the grandstand side above the premeier seating ,how come they are not using the space we have at the back of the ninian stand then where the cameras have normally been?

There was a gantry on the Grandstand side last season also. Think that was for Cardiff City rather than for the football league programme / sky etc.

Well, seeing as building work will commence there soon, I'd say it would be going grandstand side.

People who didn't assume that the seats for the major expansion would be red are dilluded fools in my opinion. Why would they be blue? We're red now end of. Te whole stadium would be red tomorrow if it were cost effective.

For those who say it will look stupid, I disagree. If anything, it will add character in my opinion. Take a look at some of the best stadiums in Europe, many of them have multi-coloured seating and it makes them stand out above any generic bowl stadium.

Lets not forget however that when the stadium is full you can't even see the colour of the bloody things!!

How big or long will this gantry be ,will it not interfere with the view of people in the first few rows of level 4?

They were complete asset strippers and I'm glad they are gone but from a business point of view they beat the odds by making a lot of money out of a football club.

Sadly I agree with you the proposed expansion was bound to include red seats.

Would be interesting to know what they made from their time with CCFC.

A few saying they asset stripped but others saying they were there when no one else was.

The land seemed to be bought at a council fixed price and there was no one else at the time to step in. But took over the Premier Seating and took the income away from CCFC.

What did they make off our backs or was their pay off similar to what they put in.

What work is this and will it take up all that time just to do it?

Family Stand & Canton Stand tickets are not currently available for our #CardiffCity pre-season games. Works in those areas are planned

In the family it will be all the work filling in the new seats and moving things around for the new away end..

Canton I'd guess it would be filling in the new seats too.

Like it or not, what is the official colour associated with Cardiff City? - Red. We are red, not blue. The fans may be blue but the club is red. Whether we like it or not is irrelevant to the fact. On all official paperwork the club is red.

They are not changing the colour of any seats. These are new seats to be installed as part of the expansion
