Use of private messaging to sell things

In my inbox of my p.m. on here I have 4 new messages.

One of them is pushing a book about last season , the other 3 are exactly the same thing pushing sales of Annis` biography.

I haven`t asked for any of the above so why is the p.m. system being used for such blatant uninvited marketing?

it's Annis' site, he can do what he want with the messaging service!

Doubt it was done on purpose but I apologise for the stress it my of caused, I had the same and hoping for counciling

Go into user control panel and select "board preferences". You can turn off various things in there.

I actually thought that 'PM' really stood for 'Personal Menace' judging by some of the hilarious threatening PM's some users have received over the last couple of seasons.

I spoke to Annis about 'PM-Gate' over the phone yesterday. Please understand he is a bit of a technophobe, its was'nt his intention to send out 3 PM's. He did intentionally send a single PM advertising his books as he is going away on his holidays and wanted to post any orders prior to his departure. He was a bit gutted he spammed people inbox's and im sure it wont happen again.

Im just passing on the explantion he told me on the phone yesterday, and before anyone asks...NO....I wont be PTB on him
