Players That Want The Jersey And Want To Play For Cardiff

Mon Jul 01, 2013 4:54 pm

No such thing I'm afraid and those of you with comments like fcuk him, dont want him if he doesn't want the jersey are deluded.

Money is the evil within this game, how much the agent can squeeze and how many more thousands of pounds can the player earn from fees and wages.

Nothing else matters.

EG: Ince offered 30k per week to play for us

Ince offered 35k to play for A.N other

He picks the other.

Although if Swansea were to match our offer, I guess he would pick them, what with them, being the established premiership team.

Good email

All this 'if he doesn't want to play for cardiff crap'

If two similar clubs bid for you and you have no affiliation with either, which do you choose?

The one that pays you Two hundred and fifty grand more a year. Grow up.

Although this is true for probably 70% of players mainly foreigners , there is also a lot who actually happy to just play on a decent wage and enjoy there careers .
Believing that every player is just after money I think is deluded .
Why did Bellamy come here ?
Why did phil Neville decide to go to everton instead of pick up his pay sitting on the bench at old Trafford ?
Why did beckham give his wages to charity at psg ?
Why does kaka put half his wages into community projects in brazil ?
Why are there constant stories of players wanting to leave clubs due to not having enough playing time surely if they were just after money then they wouldn't care would they ?
Not everybody is a money grabber some are actually just people who enjoy there jobs

Why did Bellamy come here ? Cos he is from cardiff
Why did phil Neville decide to go to everton instead of pick up his pay sitting on the bench at old Trafford ? They matched his wage
Why did beckham give his wages to charity at psg ? Cos he and his wife are multi millionaires and the publicity was worth more
Why does kaka put half his wages into community projects in brazil ? He is a multi millionaire, but is also a devout Christian and alturistic

Exactly. Roathie is right here. Credit where its due. Just because we'd be a stepping stone it doesn't mean they dont want the move.

Take Wanyama for example. If I was Wanyama I'd choose a lower league Premier League team to prove myself and try and then get a move. If he goes to Liverpool, loads of expectation and at Liverpool its even worse given their lack of patience because of the wait to get back amongst the elite. Allen is facing a lot of flack up there now.

If Wanyama comes here on £45,000 per week and Liverpool want him next year he can demand £60,000 easily as hes PL proven and knows he can do it down here and therefore can justify that salary.

Its called being sensible. Proving himself at a lower PL club would give him far more power negotiating a deal with a top PL club if he is to move on. I'd have no issue with him coming here for one season and moving on for the right price.

An injury can happen to anyone in any work place. Silly attitude to have that.

Yes a bloke working in a bank or a shop is as equally likely to tear a cruciate ligament ending his career as is a professional footballer.
And you call me silly.

Footballers need to take what they can when they can just like every grown up knows.

Really ? Footballers at this level make more in a year than most of us do in our whole lives so I wouldn't really say they are desperate to make huge amounts of money to the levels they are .
All they need to do is be sensible with it IMO
Are you saying they are not capable of working a normal job outside of football if they squander the money they earn during there career ?
There life doesn't finish after football neither does there ability to make money

I actually quite admire Tom ince for saying ( through his dad ) that he wouldn't mind staying at Blackpool , it shows a degree of commitment and respect towards the club who allowed him to show his undoubted talent and become one of the most exciting young players in Britain . It's a huge move for him and he should consider all options . Shows he has a good head on his shoulders IMO

Footballers can still work after football and alongside football for crying out loud. Heard of Beckham? Even Rudy has an energy drink being marketed to make extra money. If they waste their money they'll end up like Gascoigne. If they're not they'll be fine.

The calibre of players we're talking about are on £30,000-£60,000 per week. If they cant invest that somewhere else for a rainy day or save some then my word they have some serious issues and any problems that occur are there own doing. I wish I had such a large disposable income after tax.

A bloke in a bank is at other risks - can face the sack just for under performing on the day like that. How often does that happen in football? A shop worker can be dismissed on the spot and its easy for the companies to avoid getting done with unfair dismissal for doing so because its hard to attribute blame in the eyes of the law and have the evidence to back it up.

The notion that footballers need to get everything they can whilst playing is ridiculous when there are people in far riskier jobs on a day to day basis. Fishermen and loggers are at far more risk than footballers are at getting injured.

A footballer taking home a net salary of £5,000 could easily get by and save up money for when they retire or invest in property which will most likely be worth more by the time they retire.

I will not accept immaturity or stupidity as an excuse for greed. That's exactly what it is.

You say a footballer can just get injured but I woke up one morning with psoriasis. No sign or symptoms. Then 3 months later I woke up in agonising back pain as the arthritis part kicked in. Totally out of blue, my life changed like that. It can happen to any of us. I learnt that the hard way at 17 years of age.

Footballers are living in dream world compare to us common folk. They dont know how good they got it a lot of them.

Completely agree. Fans need to remember that players don't have a passion for a football club like what the fans have. It's a job at the end of the day, if you're offered more money to play for a better club then it makes more sense to join that club than one which offers less.

Even if that club makes you unhappy in your job ?

Personally I would rather a wage I can comfortably live on and be happy than higher wage in a job/ place I hate .

Obviously you would consider everything, but I have no idea why people are ripping on Ince. If I was Ince and Swansea offered just as much as Cardiff have, I'd join Swansea, purely because they're a much more established club than Cardiff are at the moment and staying in the Premier League would benefit Ince's career.

Agreed. Footballers at PL level all have enough to live on, save some for later on and invest to have valuable assets later on. If they waste it is their own problem and they only have themselves to blame if they struggle financially in the future. They are most certainly not in a position to complain about money.

Im ripping on Ince because hes stalling when he should be jumping at the chance to join a PL team and prove himself. If it was between us and Swansea, fair enough, but Swansea have denied interest. Its just mind games to drag out our transfer dealings. Spurs did the same with Liverpool for ages and even got a few of their targets last minute to stick the knife in and ruin their plans.

If there was 5 PL offers on the table then yes you could easily say 'fair enough, thats 5 teams and you need to make a decision'. Liverpool are not interested, Swansea have denied knowledge of anything so as it stands we are the only team with a bid accepted by Blackpool and hes still stalling on the offer which is insulting.

1 offer on the table from a PL team and hes weighing up that against staying at a Championship team when he should be chomping at the bit to play for us and the chance we've offered him to get back into the PL. Thats the difference between spoilt English brats brought up with no respect like Ince and the likes of Kim who came from a cultured background and respects the opportunities presented to him in life.

Ince should be telling his father 'the chairman has accepted the bid, im off to Cardiff, bye, they offered me PL football and I need to prove myself and prove to Liverpool they were wrong and stupid to release me'. Yet nothing and more stalling.......ridiculous.

Massive respect to Malky for giving him an ultimatum and forcing him into a choice and not letting our club get shat on by him.

Quite interesting this thread reading different people's opinions :ayatollah:

This transfer will depend on the boys character more than anything I think , I don't believe he is chasing money I honestly believe he just enjoys playing football and wants a decent wage he could well stay at Blackpool for another year where he obviously enjoys playing . Then he is out of contract and could go anywhere he likes and talk to clubs from January

How could you possibly know how many offers have come in? Anyway nothing can be decided untill liverpool decide not to bid

Whitts was settled, older, had already tested himself at PL level and wanted to finish the job down here. He could have moved had he wanted but he wasn't offered that much more money. I know because I have spoken to him on nights out in Sodabar and he'll tell you he had no reason to leave. Hes been there and had a go. Now he'll get a couple chances most likely to appear in the PL again.

Ince is young, raw, got released by Liverpool and now has the perfect opportunity to move up and further his career and earn more money. Had Whittingham been his age and not moved I'd have questioned his decision also. Whitts can look back on his career and say he had a go in the PL. Ince has the perfect opportunity here to take a chance in the PL and prove all the naysayers wrong and yet hes stalling which I find massively insulting to us as a club.

Your last sentence is pure supposition on your part-you don't know whats going on,neither does anyone else for that matter.
