How old is Wanyama?

Sun Jun 30, 2013 10:04 pm

Does anyone else think he is older than 22?

He apparently completed high school and then represented Kenya at the age of 15.

Age fraud apparently quite common in African football especially at the time Victor Wanyama would have been starting out.

Would this be an issue for us if that was the case? His value would be lower definitely.

Still a beast of a player mind and would love to see him at Cardiff.

I don't think age fraud is as common in Kenya, usually Western Africa... Nigeria, Ivory Coast and Ghana.

Valid point if I am honest. Wouldn't surprise me if he was older but i'm sure we could shift him to some unsuspecting team if the club found out he was 36.

It's hard to believe he's still not in his 30s

All I can say is,if CCFC win the race tae sign Vic then they have won a gold watch, trust me he's on a different level altogether
I'm 63 in a few days time, been watching the Hoops since December 1962 and he is one of the best players I've ever seen, anywhere.

Word up here is that Vic sacked his agent on Saturday but not yet confirmed in the rags yet
His agent wanted a sweetener from Celtic,£1 million no less,as part of a deal that would have taken him tae Southampton for £12 million,Celtic told him tae beat it.

Do you think he's a good lad off the pitch?

Do you think he's a good lad off the pitch?

He's top notch, mixes well with the other players off field as well.
Word on many of our message boards is that Liverpool are thinking about making a move but I doubt that as they are top heavy with midfielders just now.
