Cardiff set to net Vic
Hoops poised for talks
By ROBERT GRIEVE
30th June 2013

CELTIC are expecting fresh talks with Cardiff City over a deal to sell Victor Wanyama.

The Premier League new boys have already seen a £10million offer rejected by Hoops chiefs.

But ScottishSport understands the SPL champions are now preparing to do business with the Welsh outfit and cash in on the want-away Kenyan.

The saga moved forward on Friday when Cardiff informally agreed to meet the financial demands of the midfielder and his agents.
Southampton previously tabled a £12m bid which was accepted by Parkhead powerbrokers — only for Wanyama to flatly reject a move to St Mary’s.
Celts will NOT get that same fee from Cardiff.
But with talks set for early this week, a deal looks likely to be done.

Raking in a eight-figure sum will represent superb business for Celts, who paid just £900,000 to sign Wanyama two years ago.
Neil Lennon has been in no hurry to lose the powerful 22-year-old as he plans for another assault on the Champions League.
He takes his squad on a pre-season training camp to Germany tomorrow without Wanyama, who’s been given extra time off.
But Lennon hopes any transfer fee will help him to push through other deals he is working on.
High on his list is a left-sided midfielder and defensive back-up for full-back Emilio Izaguirre.
Lennon said: “We are making inroads.
“You never know if you can get over the line but we’ve done some decent business early, which was important in terms of getting them bedded in.
“Hopefully, if we can get another one in we can bring him over to Germany with us next week.”
Celts are also close to striking a deal to extend striker Anthony Stokes’ Hoops career.
Lennon added: “We’re not far away on getting something agreed there.”

In my eyes Wanyama needs this move. All well and good being a quality player in the piss poor Scottish leagues. Of he wants to prove he is the real deal come and do it for the bluebirds in the premier league :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

If Celtic are now willing to talk this could be a done deal.

I would hope this one goes through instead of Ince. He's stalling big time. Malky will not wait around much longer.

This feller is a f*cking beast. See how thick his thighs are. They should use him for snooker tables. I go with the majority on this.
IF Tom Ince is pissing us about.. walk away and make sure we sign Judge Dreddlocks!!!

Imagine him in midfield....... BOSH!!!!
