Saints bid for Wanyama was only 6m?

Fri Jun 28, 2013 2:25 pm

Celtic boss Neil Lennon seems resigned to losing Victor Wanyama, a top Cardiff summer target who is also wanted by Southampton. The midfielder was thought to be close to a switch to Southampton after the SPL champions accepted an offer from the south-coast club. However, that has stalled in recent days and Cardiff have also entered the race to land the highly-rated 22-year-old. Lennon admits Celtic are prepared to let the star leave and it is now up to the Kenyan-born player to decide his next move. He said: "There has been a lot of talk in the last couple of days. We accepted a bid from Southampton and we've done nothing wrong in our eyes as always. "The ball is firmly in the court of Victor's representatives. You don't know what's around the corner. I would imagine there would be other interested parties but we've had no confirmation from any other clubs yet." It is thought Saints have bid in the region of £6million for Wanyama and the Bluebirds must at least match that price to stand any chance of landing him this summer.

Wow.. we could get him for a bit cheaper then surely, 8m?

So what happened to the £10 and £12 million bids people were talking about?

Wow.. we could get him for a bit cheaper then surely, 8m?

£8m is more than £6m ????

Offer £5m as the final take it or leave it. He is not that good and him and his agents are trouble.

You really are intellectually challenged aren't you? I suppose I won't get a straight answer thus further hinting at the obviously transparent issues you suffer from. I wish you all the best with your diagnosis and hope you get well soon. There is most obviously something wrong upstairs with you. If you wish to meet me for a free consultation to help you with your recovery then please just let me know. I highly suspect you won't which is hilarious coming from someone named Absolutely Fearless.

Still a lot of money for someone untested outside of the SPL. A safer bet would be someone like Tom Huddlestone. Would love to see him here.
