Comparing the calibre of signing us and palace are about to make just shows the difference in, quality and ambition between us! haha :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Re: Dwight Gayle to Palace

is a big difference in the quality, but i think Gayle's a good player tbh, but like Cornelius, we can only judge if they'll do well in the prem until they actually play in the prem!

thing is you either spend £8m on experienced prem players who are over rated and over priced, £8m on average over rated english players in lower divisions (ince and zaha for example), or £8m on European talent who have got huge potential!... i'd rather the 3rd option myself

Agreed he does posses quality, But with Murray out injured for a while, id be worried as a palace fan with Gayle and Phillips leading the front line! Shows how much better equipped than the other two promoted sides we are IMO.

sometimes money doesn't buy success, we dont want to be doing a QPR! but i also don't want to be doing a Reading where we sign no one and stick with what we got!... but in all honesty we might look like we're spending big but we have a manager who knows what he is signing! hes bringing players in who want to play for us, not player like QPR who just want the ££££££

I dont think cardiff will have any1 on a wage more than 45k a week. This is wher qpr fukt up puttin players on 70k plus wages a week, samba on 100k thats a first class ticket to goin bust, qpr are just lucky they got a owner with more money than sense

they have players now on extreme amounts of money in the championship! they think they will go straight back up, but they'll have to motivate the money grabbers when they play barnsley away on a rainy tuesday night! they'll have the quality, but probably not the head for it!

He will get murdered in the Prem for his diving.

I missed the home match against them but my word he was shocking away when I went.

I agree, nothing is a given in the championship! Atleast if the unthinkable happens and we get relegated, we will have young players on modest wages wher we could prob keep a few and not bankrupt us like it migjt qpr if they dont get promoted this yr. I would give wanyama a wide berth if i was malky, he doesnt seem like the type of player we need on the wage bill and costing 12m which cud be distributed on 3/4 players

i wouldn't say modest wages as 40k is still alot, but Cornelius and most of our players would have resale values! QPR players would have resale values, but who wants to sign a player on 70k a week? no one, and thats why they're going to be in big shit if they dont come straight back up!

Premier League newcomers Crystal Palace have had a bid accepted for Peterborough United star Dwight Gayle tonight (June 27).

The sought-after striker has been the subject of much interest from Premier League and Championship clubs this summer, but Palace appear to have beaten off the competition.

Posh Director of Football Barry Fry, who handles the club’s transfer business, could not be contacted tonight, but Palace officials have confirmed to the South London media that they have agreed a fee for Gayle.

There are suggestions that the 22 year-old hitman, who was playing non-league football as recently as the 2011/12 season, was spotted at Palace’s training ground today.

Gayle earned rave reviews while firing 13 goals for Posh at Championship level last season following his arrival from League Two side Dagenham & Redbridge, initially on loan, in November.

Posh can expect to make a considerable profit on the £500,000 they are understood to have paid for Gayle when he completed a permanent switch to London Road in January. Chairman Darragh MacAnthony slapped a £10 million price tag on him earlier this summer.

Posh were condemned to relegation from the Championship in heartbreaking style by Palace on the final day of last season. The South London side then went on to clinch promotion through the play-offs.

Obvious a replacement for Zaha - takes a diver to replace one.
