Top earner CCFC

Correct me if i'm wrong but i'm sure i've heard over the years that a couple of City players have clauses in their contract stating that they have to be on the same wage as the top earner in the club. I'm sure Peter Whittingham is 1 of these players hence the reason that he signs a new contract every season. My point is, whatever big name player or high earner we sign this year is going to cost us alot more due to current player contracts. i.e, if we sign Ince on 40k a week as stated in another topic then Whitts has to be given a "payrise" to match this, and so on with Wanayama, if we're prepared to pay 12 mil for this guy i would imagine he's going to be on more than 40k a week which would mean Whitts would get another "payrise" unless he was sold???

Heard this at other clubs but never here.

Because that's how much money there is in the game from tv deals.
If the players shouldn't get it where should it go.
