First week in August !
the La Liga outfit, preparing for European Championship League football, has not yet been officially confirmed but sources in Spain say it is ‘99 per cent certain to go ahead’.
Mexican international Carlos Vela, a former Arsenal and West Brom forward, and highly-rated central defender Inigo Martinez, are Sociedad’s star players and will be in their squad for the trip to South Wales.

Does anyone remember Ajax pre season at Ninian. Maybe 6 or 7 years ago maybe even more!!
Now that was a walk up crowd that the club never expected!! I think the closed the bob bank for that one but had to open it in the end!! You couldn't fit in the grange end so it spilled into the bob bank!!
No one cared about the game as the atmosphere was tasty and exciting

There was a good atmosphere.
The rest of the story's wrong tho. The bob bank was open but it started to piss down so everybody climbed the fence to sit in the seats in the dry.

Wasn't that game one of the very last Glen Loovens played for us?
Wed Jun 26, 2013 5:56 pm
I went to that one. Wasn't it McCormack's first game for Cardiff too?

I can't remember if it was pissing down! I honestly remember it just getting to full to contain all the fans!!
That's why the bob bank was stormed!!
The evil drink fails my memory but that was a good night and the Ajax fans were well up for it!!!

Nope it was open an it rained. So people sat down there was no storming
I admit your story sounds a little bit better then people wanted to keep dry.

Definitely pissed down, I was sat in the grandstand for that game, and there was a wave of people running from the front into the seated area. It was awesome to watch! And the Ajax fans dancing to pass the dutchie!

The Ajax game had an attendance of around 11,000 if memory serves me right a dull 0-0 draw

Anyone know what the deal will be on tickets? Will ST holders get priority or cheaper tickets? Or will they just go on general sale straight away for anyone to buy?
I remember the Parma game was half price for ST holders
Wed Jun 26, 2013 7:01 pm
They will probably just go on general sale. It won't be anywhere near a sell out

The Ajax game was played on a Friday night in 2008 I think, we drew 0-0. I remember their scruffy mob of about 100 youngsters running around in the grangend.

Do we need to have a membership for the game?
Will the match be put on sale online? Or is it pay on the day?
