Huge agent fees foiled Wanyama to saints deal

GREEDY agents are demanding an extortionate £1million to let their player join Southampton.
The Saints had agreed a £12m fee with Celtic for midfielder Victor Wanyama.
But they were then stunned to be told agents Rob Moore and Ivan Nodia want a staggering £1m in fees simply to seal the deal for the 21-year-old Kenyan.

And the move is in jeopardy with Saints chairman Nicola Cortese refusing to be bludgeoned into submission.
Wanyama’s representatives are not breaking any rules and are entitled under football rules to demand what they want.
But the norm is that agents get five per cent of a transfer fee — around £600,000 in this case.
An insider said: “Southampton are furious and fear the player will miss out on a move he wants simply because of his agents’ greed.”
But Wanyama was quoted as saying: “While the bid was OK for Celtic, the terms were not right for myself and my agent.”

Agents are f*cking criminals nowadays, people will say "this is what the premier league is about" but it's all bollocks, if I was Wanyama I'd have sacked both those money grabbing shitstains by now and gone to Southampton.

After the West Ham Tevez ownership nightmare I expected Agents to be crucified, however they seem to be as bad as ever. Just look at Swindon, last season they spent more on agents fees (of which Di Canio allegedly took a cut) than the rest of league 1 and 2 combined.

As a society we put up with it....the ticket office does it when we buy our tickets...Same with our airline travel, fees fees and more fees.

Who the hell is this Wanyama bloke anyway. It's not as if he's Ronaldo or Rooney or Bale. Seems to have a pretty high opinion of himself. Leave well alone, Malky.
