New players before the 'friendly' games?

I'm quite concerned that we may not have signed any plausible talent come the friendly games. At the moment we have Forest Green booked for July. The whole point of these pre-season friendlies is to try out the new signings and see how they can pose a threat against opposition, right?

Anyone else hoping we get a push on the transfers. Obviously these things cannot be rushed. But if we could maybe get a key signing aswel as a bench filler to test that would be a sigh of relief.
