Cardiff City Ladies Football - What The Hell's Happening?

So there was a news report stating that Cardiff City Ladies were creating a third team for Developmental purposes. They currently have a team in the FA Premier League playing Man City, Arsenal and the like, they then have a reserve team a division down.

If you read the report (below) it turns out the third team will be in the South Wales Women's League which is a WELSH FA league.

How are they allowed a reserve team that plays in a different association and we are not?

So I dug a bit deeper and it turns out Cardiff City Ladies Football Club are NOTHING to do with our club. OUR women's team plays in the WELSH FA Premier League along with Swansea, we do not have teams in the English system.

I'm now officially confused.

They were joined with us but they buggered off as they couldn't agree on how to run them.

So we formed a new one.


Although the original team were the bluebirds but rebranded to the dragons long before we did it!

Yeah they play in the Women' Premier League.

BUT they're banned from the Woman's Super league which is now the top flight of Women's football in England.

Which has the likes of Arsenal and Liverpool.

Has nothing to do with us as well but Doncaster Belles were consistent in the top flight of the Womens leagues for ages and they've been chucked out just like that because Man City offered the FA a bit of cash, wow
