NO EXCUSES SURELY?

Forgetting transfers for five. After many quotes from pundits over the last few weeks expressing that they think Cardiff @ home will be a difficult place due to the passionate fans. Well ive dug out a post I made a few months back and what I believe to the reason for our dire atmospheres.
"That threshold between doing well and almost there, that will be the difference. We haven't been able to do the nearly there part yet...but when that realisation comes and expectations realised, I believe we are in for a cracking bunch of games. The negative attitude and flat atmospheres has been analysed over and over, but I believe its simply down to the following.
high expectation X under achievement X over far too many seasons = a strong sense of frustration, and even higher level of expectation, which in affect cause the crowd to almost be business like in its approach to a game and therefore atmosphere. We no longer see certain high profile clubs as a great game/great scalp.....its just 3 points needed to move forward.
I said on a thread that once we do go up the atmosphere will change for the better, not just cos we are in the big time but because expectation will be at an all time low again like it was a few years back, and we will enjoy being that partizan crowd screaming city on to take a few giant scalps along the way."
NOW ITS TIME TO SEE THE PROOF, IF WE DONT CREATE AN ATMOSPHERE THE PUNDITS ARE PREDICTING, THEN WE NEVER, EVER WILL IMO. FORGET THE SWAPPING OF STANDS, HAVING TO SIT DOWN ALL THE TIME...JUST FECKING GO FOR IT AND SING!

I do believe the atmosphere issues will be dead and buried this season. Thank god. The passion will be back in bucket loads and then people will realise it had nothing to do with the stadium after all. We've seen what it can produces 1 or twice, especially toward the end of the season as my post above predicted.

I agree. Every game in the prem everyone is gonna be buzzing for it and the buzz will be back again lets have it

Taff mate you are gonna be amazed next season the atmosphere will be electric and our Stadium will be a sea of blue!

Terry squire! I look forward to it, when fans realise singing isnt illegal at the new stadium the new found stigma will disappear and every man, woman & child will be piping up....even the new fan. How are they going to know our songs if we dont sing them.
