25 man squad

Given the new transfers we will undoubtedly soon be making, who out of the current squad do you believe will become surplus and not make our 25 man squad? Also, does anyone know what the rules are exactly regarding home grown under 21 players, for example, would Nugent need to be included in the 25?

Lewis not good from what I saw. So need a back up goalie. What about Hennessey< could be cheap now as he has not played for 18months?

Anyone born on or after January 1, 1992 does not count towards the 25 man roster. So Nugent and Ralls could both be on the roster and not count towards the 25.

That leaves out Kiss, Conway, Smith, Cowie, Lappin, and Velikonja. I could see Conway, Cowie, Smith and Lappin all being moved for some extra cash. Kiss and Velikonja could stay on the development side or be put out on loan.

We would already have 11 homegrown players so we wouldn't have to worry about that when signing new players.

Why do people think Malky will sell Conway?

Hard working ,tracks back to help full back, he featured in the run in, scored at Burnley and is now in the Scotland squad?
Saying that, It could be a good time to cash in on him whilst his value is potentially at its highest but just curious why so many think Malky will sell him?

Also who do you think will have a change of shirt number?

I think :

2 - kev will change number as I think if he re-signs with City then he will be cover so will get a higher number
4 - Kiss hardly featured last year so suspect a loan spell or sold so will get a higher number
8 Cowie - like Kev will be cover or may move on so will get a higher number
9 - Velikonja - will be moved on I suspect and Campbell wants/wanted number 9 shirt
10 - currently vacant since Earnie's departure
11 - not sure on this one but if Ince did sign and wants his current number at Blackpool then I can see Conway getting a new number

After that I think there will only be changes if new signings have a preference and seen to be higher profile than current owner!

Interesting note, Ince wouldn't actually count on the 25 man roster as he is 21. So if he is indeed added, that gives us another roster spot.
