Why Didn't Tan Takeover Forest?

Or someone like Barnsley, teams that play in red? He loves the colour so much and sees it as such a symbol of Malaysia then why didn't he buy a club with red incorporated in it? Instead, he comes and buys a blue club and changes the whole tradition and identity by playing in red?

I'm fully behind tan and fully grateful for what he has done for us but does anyone else see it as a bit illogical to buy a blue club and turn it red then just buying a red club and having no hassle?

Forest would be hard to as they've had success already and would fight back against it. Barnsley well it's a small area so can't really polish a turd can you. Cardiff is an attractive city in itself.

The club was anxiously looking for outside investment from anyone, anywhere, who had financial clout,,, around about 2006-2010, & the rest is history.

I thought EVERY City fan would know at least part of the story by now.

The part I know is that TG has a son and wrote letters to many UK clubs looking for a trial. Didn't us and WHU get back to him and we actually got into conversations with him. TG was impressed with this and took an interest in the club. From there he tried to convince others of the clubs potential and Tan bit, chucked a few million at it to see what TG could do.

The rest has gone down in red misted history.

I don't know the full facts, but this sounds about right. All i know is that PR was desperate for any form of financial investement from anyone,,,even a young Welsh Opera Singer!

You tell me, i don't know the facts. All i do know is that PR, at an open meeting at the Muni club, late 2009/10,,,im not sure of the exact date, said he (CCFC) were activly looking for investment. A lot of people were there, Annis & probably yourself aswel.

TG, i think was involved at this time, checking thing out so to speak, on behalf of VT. Perhaps the fact that PR was a bit liberal with the facts regarding our clubs finances at that time probably relate to the latter part of your post.

I remember ihatealiens (i think it was him) asking PR if he had contacted VT regarding certain thing,,& offering PR VT's e-mail address in order to do so.

From a kid looking for a trial to Cardiff in the premier,what a story and a true one at that.
