Jak mates

Thu Jun 20, 2013 11:02 pm

Before you slate me completely! One of my good mates is a jak, and the prospect of hating him for 90 minutes is equally appealing. On derby day, my passion is unquestionable but I was interested to know if any other blue not red birds had any mates as jacks and if you hated each other on derby day ? With our love of football we both meet a week before for a pint and start the weekly hatred :ayatollah:

I have one, I see him about once a year at gigs. I live in the Rhondda, and despite bollox written on the internet, there are still thankfully very few around here. If we hadn't gone up, this might have started to change, so thank fook we did !

I've got a couple of Jack acquaintances. I've always done my best to have good football chats with them but despite me being humble and pointing out Swansea's pros and cons they just constantly slate Cardiff and refuse to ever give us credit. Even going up as Championship title winners they still said we were dull, shit and lucky.

I just avoid talking about football with them because they've become so blinkered now. If anything, their recent success has strangely made them more bitter. I appreciate that not all Swansea fans are like this but the few I know just so happen to be.

I have a few mates who are Cardiff fans, we have a bit of banter regarding the football, and to be honest, it's cranked up a bit now that we are back in the same league.

On top of that, a few of the students who drink in my pub are Cardiff fans and I usually have a good laugh with them, even gave them a free round the night that you got promoted against Charlton! I don't know if I have a different viewpoint on things as I lived and worked in Cardiff for a while? But there we go...

I don't know any Jacks. I'm too classy to be seen with these people. 8-)

Both my neighbours are jacks, and I only live just outside the Capitol.

Plenty of Jack friends down the years, my mates dad is one, and I love him like family, but we just don't talk about our clubs, what would be the point, we'd never agree so just don't.

I keep one at the end of my garden to keep the flies off the compost and scare the foxes. I'm not sure if its a male or female one but it sure does smell funky. I'd better go and feed the freak before it gets dark otherwise it will start howling.

I have 1 jack mate I grew up with. Well he's a liverpool fan really, just started supporting swansea to be different from his cardiff matess. I met quite a lot of jacks through work. Some I get on well with and have a chat about footie, then theres others I can't f*cking stand.

I socalise in the Trealaw and Llwynapia areas very often and never see any swans tops. Saying that, there was a car parked on ynyscynon road with a swans car sticker in the rear window and one of the boys put that window through. Wrong but funny.

Fair enough, my shop is in Tonypandy, and I never see any. However,I'm not on about people who wear tops and 'support' Swansea,I mean people up here who actually go and watch the Jacks.Like I said I know one, and I drink in Ystrad/Pentre/Treorchy. I know hundreds of Cardiff fans from up here, none of them wear colours, but they go every week !
