Away games to youngsters?

Thu Jun 20, 2013 10:33 pm

Thought I would start this up just for discussion and views.

Basically I am 16, 17 tomorrow. :old:

But wanted to know do youngsters around my age or younger even get put off by away games because of the supposed 'violence' that goes on or potential to take place?

I know a lot has changed etc and you have the safe options of using Supporters (CCSC).

I have managed to convince on odd few of people from my area who are younger to join in because it is a different experience and a real buzz and it is great memories and the day out that comes with it.

But do you think people get put off and not do them because of the potential reasons? :ayatollah:

No a youngster growing up in cardiff and the valley would see the violence and trouble as a draw when going to away games id say so the complete opposite to what your saying

I use the CCSC but we still have the same old twats such as Mushroom head on our coach who drink on family orienated coaches, I'm on a coach where it's quite youthful but its annoying to see they still break the rules, fair play to Vince for tolerating a lot of shit, the amount of times he could have been in trouble for saving their backsides..

I don't get put off by the violence at all, I feel we're much safer now

I'm just 19 and have never felt intimidated at an away game it's all talk!!

I love the fact of walking round another city or town being amongst thousands of the other teams fans and just bumping in to other Cardiff fans that you've never met and just being able to get along .

Away day buzz is the best from early on the bus in the morning all the way to getting home late at night

What violence goes on these days??

Went to every away game last season and all i saw was a few scuffles between fans.

When was the last time there was major incidents? Stoke? Chelsea?

These days its just prices that put youngsters off. The ones not in a job or uni only get £30 a week max! Hardly pays for a ticket these days...

There's not enough violence these days to put an 80 year old granny off, let alone teenage boys.

Most boys I see going give it the big one about the violence, obviously nothing ever happens and they all say something along the lines of "f*cking bouncing for a scrap..."

Away day is always has a better buzz around. Blackpool last year was awesome the Friday night we bumped into a mass of Cardiff fans in walkabout and had a great night.
