The price has been set after rumoured interest from Arsenal and Man Utd last season. He's a beast of a player but unproven at that level.

Agreed. They only paid 900k for him and he's still unproven in a quality league.... However he's looked a decent player when I have seen him play and he's young...

Would be a excellent acquisition however it would not happen.
He won't leave Celtic for anything other than Champs Lge.

I would pay 5 million for him maybe 6 at a push.

Southampton and Cardiff City are reportedly ready to battle it out for the signature of Celtic midfielder Victor Wanyama.

According to Sky Sports, Celtic are resigned to losing the 21-year-old, but will only do business at around £10m.

Celtic signed Wanyama from Beerschot two years ago and the Kenyan star impressed during last season.

Galatasaray have also been monitoring the situation, while Stoke City, Newcastle United and Liverpool could also make bids.

Tom Boyd has obviously been spending too much time in Glasgows "watering holes"

“Wanyama still has a few years left on his contract. Neil Lennon said he wanted £25m and I would go along with that.”

“I watched a lot of Premier League games last year and even the top teams were pretty poor."

Would love him here. Wanyama and Gunnarsson sitting in defensive midfield would be amazing.

Lets be fair. The lad COULD be an absolute class act, but one or two decent games against Barcelona does not prove a thing they have their foot off the pedal when they play Celtic, because Celtic are SPL. Week in week out the lad has been playing against shit teams with shit players. Ince has had an incredibly good season in the Championship and is only rated at £8m. Lennon is taking the absolute piss. £5m if he's very lucky.

Don't get me wrong I agree with all you say, was just pointing out that he has done it against decent opposition too albeit not regularly or even guaranteed..5million maybe 7 tops.

How does Lennon intend to ''sell him'' for £10-25m

och this is the tape of Victor against St Mirren, he bossed this game and the very highly rated Tosh McTavish never got a sniff - oh and watch this, Victor against Callie Thistle, he ran the show from start to finish, they even took Angus McFangus off, and hes a
world beater. Hang on... dont walk off, we havenae shown you his goal against Ross County yet!!!

Tbf I think he will make a good player, needs to do it in a better league though obviously, big teams that scouted him would obviously factor in the quality of opposition when looking at him and doubt united and liverpool would waste time if he wasn't any good. May even be too good for us..

If we could get him for around £7m he would be a superb signing in my opinion :malky:
