Tom Ince, you should land him...

Thu Jun 20, 2013 8:14 pm

in my opinion. doesn't seem that many are in for him as they are put off by the £8m price tag which is definitely a risk. Ive not seen a great deal of the boy but know he ws a good performer in the championship. However as the likes of Sinclair, Taarabt, Graham et al will show is that you can be the best player in the championship and gash in the Premier League.

Good signing? bad signing? opinions?

8m probably a little to much but to beat off bigger clubs we probably will have to pay a little extra. His wages won't be huge this and every time I've seen him he has impressed me. Way more than Zaha, I'd be very happy to sign him.

Best player i saw in the Championship last year, and isn''t the £8m dependent on add-ons ?

Love to see him in a City shirt. probably more so than any of the other players mentioned so far. (This is biased by the fact i don't know much about many of the foreign guys mentioned).

Also the lad is still young, so should become an asset for the club for the future.

Your right about add ons, fee's usually are now i'd imagine 4 up front and further instalments and also add ons based on performance.

Destined for the top

Fast, skilful, creative and scores goals. He would thrive with us next season. Compared to some of the ridiculous prices the premier league have seen over the years £8m(which will be in instalments)is worth it

Plenty making step up from Championship no problem.

Most of Norwich squad and Most of Southamptons in particular Rickie Lambert.

Even Danny Graham scored double figures for a Swansea team more interested in keeping clean sheets and pretty
triangles than attacking.

My point of contacts from last year are only just returning from their various holidays, and they tell me to sit tight and be patient :D

The only concrete info I've had this summer is Gomis is a serious target two are in the bag. It'll build up over the next few weeks though

Can go either way mate.

One good season in PL he could be worth £20m. Doesn't impress or make the grade then maybe it was money badly spent. All depends.

To put this in perspective, £8m is more than the combined fee's for Michu, Chico, Vorm & Routledge.

At £8m, Ince is way overpriced imho.

I was told about Gomis weeks ago. Whatever happens he won't be the only top rated striker on the continent that's on the list. 100% not

Who said I cared? I'm just putting some perspective on it for you in response to a post saying £8m was worth it.

No need to get defensive about it :thumbright:

We paid £5.5m for Ki and seeing as Kim only played a handful of games and at a lower level than Ki last season, I'd say you're being very premature with that assessment.

Four excellent signings there for smart money. There aren't many other clubs you could make that comparison with. Today's market I think he's worth around 6m, but if you're investing in potential then why not

Personally I wouldn't be happy with paying anything over £4m for him and even that is pushing it.

He hardly thrived in his one year at this level to date although he appears to certainly have potential.

A quality player who would flourish playing under Malky. I would love to see Ince playing for us and I do believe if he did then maybe he could go to the world cup in Brazil.
