Cardiff City manager Malky Mackay has admitted that it is an uphill struggle to get players to join the newly-promoted side.
The Bluebirds have yet to make a summer signing after gaining promotion to the top flight for the first time last season.
The Scot insisted that he will continue to try and bolster the squad, saying that Cardiff will only go for the right players.
"It's [about] convincing some players to come to a club who are seen as one of the relegation favourites," Mackay told the BBC.
"But I talk to them about the plan we have here going forward and the way that we're going to play, and the whole package that involves everything about Cardiff City, which I think is quite exciting.
"[When] bringing players to the football club [we] try to make sure we investigate them well enough that we don't make too many mistakes and they come in and be successful over a period of time."
Cardiff begin their Premier League campaign with a trip to West Ham United on August 17.
