Cardiff move for £8m Ince and join bitter rivals Swansea in the chase for Gomis
By JEREMY BUTLER

Cardiff have agreed to meet Blackpool’s £8million asking price for winger Tom Ince but face competition from rivals Swansea for Lyon striker Bafetimbi Gomis.
The Premier League newcomers are prepared to pay the figure Blackpool quoted to Crystal Palace for Ince, which includes a guaranteed fee up front plus add-ons. It is still far from certain that Ince will move to South Wales, however, with Liverpool having an option to match any bid for him under the terms of his move to Blackpool from Anfield two years ago.
Liverpool also have a 35 per cent sell-on clause which means they could sign the 21-year-old for an initial figure of just over £5m. There has been less interest in Ince’s Blackpool team-mate Matt Phillips, however, with Hull the only club to make an enquiry.

Talented: Thomas Ince has long been the subject of Premier League interest
Meanwhile, Swansea have made a club record £8.5m offer for France international Gomis, who is already the subject of a bid from Cardiff.
The 27-year-old has just 12 months remaining on contract and much may hinge on whether Swansea can match his £3m-plus wage demands and if manager Michael Laudrup stays.
Cardiff, meanwhile, have been rebuffed in an enquiry for Feyenoord midfielder Lex Immers.

We do nred around 5-6 quality players on too of our current squad. 25m should be enough to bring in more than decent players in. :ayatollah:

Unproven players have to prove themselves somehow, Giggs, Beckham, Butt, Scholes, etc were all unproven but Fergie give them a chance.

You would not get a young British player with u21 international experience, by far the best palyer in the Championship last year for less than £8m in my opinion. Prices for British players are inflated and always have been.
