Should move fast, i phoned up and bought mine today.
The lady i spoke to said that they will all be gone by the middle of next week, (there are 5,000 available) also, they are only making 1,300 tickets available for home games on a first come, first serve basis which can be bought roughly about 4 weeks before the game, and you are only allowed one ticket per membership, basically, if you don't buy a membership you've got no chance of seeing a game live this coming season.

1,300 tickets available on first come, first serve basic for all next seasons home games.
Gold Membership Costs £40

Good option for non season ticket holders, but 3700 will still be ticketless during matchdays unless a ST sells its ticket back to the club.

To be honest, it's the only option for non season ticket holders.

You are paying £40 but you also need to be quick off the mark in getting your tickets otherwise the same 1,300 members will get the tickets and the rest will have paid £40 for nothing.
At 1,300 tickets across 19 games, there are only 24,700 tickets for the whole season. If they are shared out amongst the 5,000 members each will get about 5 games each if a few tickets are returned but ST holders.
If you get your 5 game share I think it's £8 per game well spent.

I thought it was 1,500 tickets that were going to members?

I agree with you, i also think i will have a better chance at away games, time will tell.

I will subscribe to a membership. Although I am completely bogged down with work at the mo. between Megabus and hire/tour work, chances of me getting regular time off is very unlikely.

So if you have a season ticket is it worth buying a membership? I lived abroad all last season so obviously have no away games on my ST but I'm back for this season and now I know I have little chance of getting to any of the "big" aways Swansea etc.

If you are a season ticket holder you don't need to buy a membership, seasons ticket holders get priority for away games, if you hav'nt got one (season ticket) you'll need a gold membership to have any chance of tickets home or away.

No
Its a disgrace. £40 and not guaranteed a ticket. In reality you will have to ring up a month before your chosen fixture and compete with 5,000 other gold members for 1300 tickets with everyone ringing the ticket office at the same time and for the big games you will be waiting on the phone for ages and what will you get at the end of it ? a ticket if you are lucky and even then most probably a crappy seat which you have paid through the nose for. Its the final insult so its internet links for me and match of the day from now on. Welcome to modern football.

If people are not happy about the gold membership they should have supported Cardiff through the bad times and kept there ST going! Premier League bandwagon! Didn't sell out many games last season, now 10,000 waiting for season tickets?
Ironically the championship is better value for money with amount of games, and results! Amazing 10 years in the championship! If only that 10,000 were interested then! We wouldn't have as much debt!

Hmm Not impressed by it and how it works out for our fans.

Its a con Annis. Pay £40 and then wait in a long telephone queue with 5000 other fans hoping to get your hands on one of 1300 tickets does not seem like a well thought out scheme to me. Also if you have a family then it will cost a fortune and even then you are not guaranteed to be sitting together. This is the final insult for me and I now feel relieved at not renewing my season ticket.

Whats worse is the silver membership at £30 now thats a proper con , they get tickets if any available after the gold members

Yes another well thought out plan. You can imagine the scene on matchday versus Man City with 5000 Gold members chasing 1300 tickets and how many will be left for the silver members? Answers on a postcard please.
Fair Play we may be a premiership club but the admin is clearly non league.

Silver memberhip is pointless. If your spending 30 on one of those then you might as well spend the extra tenner and get a gold ticket!!

Im shocked the club has released them really as anyone who buys a silver has virtually no chance of a ticket , the only way they will get tkts if by some miracle is if nearly 3600 Gold members dont want tickets for a certain game
Thu Jun 20, 2013 7:46 pm
Only way I think silvers will get tickets for are maybe the away games where we get a big allocation and its miles away like Sunderland perhaps?
