Scottish Bluebirds next year

Wed Jun 19, 2013 6:52 pm

Evening.

Was just wondering if any of my fellow Scottish bluebirds have got memberships for next year?

I've got ST and at least 2 of the other Clydebank boys have bought gold memberships.

I got my gold memebership today, (see my post above) we will have to try and meet up to arrange transport for some games.

Aye cracking. How do you guys get to the games? I'd love to travel down with folk from up here as all my city mates are back home so would be travelling on my own.

I travelled to a couple of games last season with aj1927, tony is a good lad who also lives in edinburgh, there are a few lads on the west coast to, we should think about getting a minibus to certain games if we ca all get tickets.

My son travels down about six or seven time a season from Waverly, via Cross Country. I work for the railways so can get discount tickets for him.

If there were an organised trip down then im sure he would be interested.

I normally travel overnight by train cos I work on the trains and it costs me buttons!

Would be good if we could all pull together and sort a minibus or something for 1 or 2 games.

PTB, it's something that we should all try to make happen, the only problem i see is that the minibus would have to start on the west coast, then go over to pick people up in edinburgh, and then come down the A7 for me, (although it's just as quick to go down the A7 from edinburgh to pick up the M6 at carlise) it seems to be a lot of movement to pick up fans, but i'm open to suggestions.

We should definitley arrange a minibus or for an away game up on the train.

If ther minibus was going from Glasgow I wount have a problem hopping on a train to Queen St and getting picked up there?

Worth nothing that I cant drive so dont expect me to put a shift in driving the bus sorrry

Why not one of you 'put your hand up' and contact the club........ask them to send a mail to all Scotland addresses asking if they want to set up a travel club? I anm sure they would help.

A mate of mine is a Hibs fan, living around Glasgow and follows the City.

Bet there must be quite a few.

Good luck.

Good idea, but there is the exiles forum on here with a lot of the scottish based bluebirds already given their area of contact.

It's just working out the logistics as you say. I'm working out what games I can make and will post it on the exiles forum, if everyone else can do the same we should be able to sort something out somewhere.
