CARLTON COLE CONSIDERING PL OFFER

Wed Jun 19, 2013 6:45 pm

West Brom linked, but I'd be very surprised if Malky isn't interested after the trouble Cole caused our own defence when playing in the Championship. :ayatollah:

Carlton Cole's agent has confirmed to Sky Sports that the former West Ham United striker is weighing up an offer from an unnamed Premier League club.

Cole is available on a free transfer after seeing out his contract at Upton Park earlier this summer.

The appearance of an England international on the free market has drawn attention from a number of clubs across Europe and America.

West Bromwich Albion have been credited with holding an interest in Cole, with Baggies boss Steve Clarke having worked with the player while assistant manager at Chelsea and West Ham.

Cole's representative, Saif Rubie, has admitted there is interest from the Premier League, Europe and MLS, and that the forward is looking at all of his options.

"There are offers for Carlton from the Premier League, but also interest from Europe and big interest from MLS," Rubie told Sky Sports.

"At this stage we are looking at the pros and cons of each offer professionally and financially as this is a very important next step in Carlton's career and the move has to be right for him.

"We hope we can make a decision on Carlton's future soon."

Well out only big striker is Rudy who isnt good enough. Ok as a squad player but we cant be using him on a regular basis. I'd be happy to get Cole on board, gives us more depth.

Gestede > Cole.

When Cole has his own energy drink then we can start talking. 8-)

I honestly think Cole is not much better than Rudy. He didn't impress me at all for West Ham against us.

I.M.O Bent from Villa would be a cracking signing.

With WBA not having lukaku this yr they need another striker and cole without a fee obviously suits them.. I'd also take him for free, but wouldn't be disappointed if we didn't get him

I'd be surprised if it wasn't Palace. Decent player who wants to stay in London, and Palace hardly have a massive budget. Cole on a free transfer would be smart and realistic.

Former West Ham striker Carlton Cole in Turkey to sign for Karabukspor -

Former West Ham striker Carlton Cole has arrived in Turkey after reaching an agreement-in-principle with Karabükspor.

The former England international was greeted by a large group of Karabükspor before entering the Turkish Süper Lig outfits training grounds to finalise talks with the club officials.

The 29-year-old striker was released by the Hammers this summer and has also attracted interested from Hull City.

The former England international was linked with another Turkish club recently, however, West Ham manager Sam Allardyce denied receiving an offer from Kasımpaşa.

Cole joined West Ham from Chelsea for €3 million in 2006. The 29-year-old striker went on to score 59 goals in 231 games for the Hammers.

Karabükspor finished the Süper Lig in 15th position last least season
