Jesus Christ. Give yourself a shake. Rebrand aside, Tan has been great for this club. The signings we made last season were hardly "on the cheap".

Mate, I hate the rebrand more than most, but some just have an agenda against Tan. I'm not keen on the man, but that's just my thoughts. I won't let that cloud the other work he has done for this club..
Had we spent 15mill on Carroll, the poster above would probably moan we've spent too much on one player.

Since when did record signings give any teams an edge over another? Our current record is 4million... I dare say that will be broken this summer though..
Although, here's something. Jacks finished 9th, QPR were relegated.. Guess who had the bigger "record signing"?

Barry i take your point BUT increasingly money spent and results are correlated. That's how the modern game is going. The statistics back this up.
And To give this thread it's special rebrand flavour for pontyclun_blue, We've got a billionaire with supposed massive plans for Cardiff yet our record signing is 4 million? It may well be broken this summer but not in the Andy Carrol league. By his standards he's trying to do things on the cheap, including his kits.
There, i feel better now i've mentioned the rebrand in a post.

Yes, of course.. Last year for Cardiff City will also back this up. Are you seriously suggesting that the money we spent last season was "doing it the cheap way"?![]()

because we haven't actually signed anyone yet? Come back in September & if he hasn't spent much, then maybe some more will agree with you. It was documented that Malky had money to spend in January, he just didn't want to.

his standards actually were set quite high last season.![]()

You turned it into a rebrand post at the start, that was the beginning of the end for it. You just can't leave a non rebrand post alone, and that makes the forum a worse place

Fair point PB, but it was linked to Tans transfer activity. Which doesn't match his talk.

Tans biggest asset seems to be the manager and the set up MM has built. a bad start from Malky coupled with increased attention from the media could well reveal an even nuttier side to VT, managerial merry-go-round by november is not out of the question with our classless owner

But Malky will bring in the players he wants, not Tan, is the 25 mil for def or just hear say??
