Cardiff City have made enquiries and expressed their interest in recent days for two current Championship players.
The first, Thomas Ince, will come as no surprise as he has been linked with us through the media recently but having had a telephone conversation I was told that 'we have made our intentions known'.
With clubs like Liverpool reportedly interested I would be very surprised if we landed Ince but it is good to hear that we are looking at and showing interest in the likes of Tom Ince.
The second player and one which I expect to go a little further than just an enquiry is Curtis Davies of Birmingham. Davies has been told he can leave St.Andrews this summer.
The new gantry arrives next Monday for sky tv and will be positioned above the Premier seating, this is not a mickey mouse gantry, its virtually the length of the main stand.
The pitch is now being excavated and a new one being laid.
New disabled seats will be in place in the coming weeks.
Level 4 there will be a new players Wags bar,
Capacity on our opening home game in the Premier League will be near 27,000, City still hoping to top 27,000, those extra few seats will be Blue for the time being, but as you have read the other day, major work starts this September any way.
All the major sections of seats to increase our capacity to eventually 40,000 plus will be Red.
The away section seats are now complete and the segregation line is completed.
Cardiff City now have a waiting list of nearly 10,000 fans wanting season tickets.
There are regular visits from Premier League officials checking our ground over and this is still going on.
The Red shirts sold a mere 100 on the opening launch and sales are down on last year, so City will be doing promotional days.
There is plenty of interest in the Blue Retro shirts and City have not taken them off the shelves as being rumoured, they have actually sold out of most types and yes there will be more coming in the club shop later this season.
Since City's arrival in the Premier League, City dont need to go looking or asking for sponsors on this and that, from suit companies to all the main car dealers they are throwing themselves at our club and City can virtually name their price,
There has been major work done on a new press room, very posh, plus a new stage for Malky ect to sit on, all this on Malky's request, you wont be able to see Malky's legs or hands no more,in front of Malky will be Malaysian advertising![]()
In the past few weeks many Malaysians have ben visiting our stadium, some on official business others to just have a look.
Darren Bent has been a target for Malky and was with Bellamy recently in Cardiff the other week in St Mellons Country Club, Bent has made several visits to the City, we are being told though its down to him whether we sign him, how true that is only him, his agent and Malky knows.
Steve Borley and Wayne Nash have been working down the stadium every day, in fact the last couple of weeks Mr Borley has been there virtually every day.
Both dressing rooms are now complete.
