Income

Not wanting to be controversial but I want to put this out there.

I've noticed there is a lot of unofficial merchandise being pushed here.

Do you think that fans should financially benefit from this? Quite a number of fans have suddenly switched to an organised group against the re-brand and this is also at the time these fans are pushing their merchandise.

I can understand if they wish a return to blue but I would of thought profits from this would go to a worthy cause. It certainly makes me cynical of their motives.

If they sold let's say 150 tops at a price of £---- then that's some profit.

I'd be less cynical if a % went to the academy etc.

this isnt an official message board though so i dont see the problem in selling unofficial stuff.

at the end of the day its up to people to buy or not buy, someone somewhere is always making a profit.

Re: Income

It's a nice idea about contributing some to local causes. A lot of the stuff sells because it looks good though and comes from the minds of those that get paid. They've not been sneaky and claimed it's going somewhere when it's not and nobody is being forced to buy the stuff.

Got no issue whatsoeve if someone wants to be a bit of an entrepeneur and make a few quid for themselves.

Its not like their are selling anything under false pretences.

Buying and selling its what makes the world go around.

Re: Income

It would be a nice gesture. But organising groups like Bluebirds Unite does not come without financial cost. So profits from merchandise would be needed for that.

On a different, controversial note, if the club did not change to red then there would not be this clamour for blue gear.

If fans put the effort in, and produce their own good quality merchandise then that is their risk, so their profit. If no one bought it they would be out of pocket. Good luck to them I say.

We need entrepreneurs to boost the economy and it gives our fans a distinct different clothing/merchandise to the run of the mill c**p that appears from official places.

Anthony, No one from the mods including myself have nothing what so ever to do with the Blue merchandise sold by anyone. Carl and I paid for our own polo tops. If fans are willing to go and out invest some money in Blue stuff and it looks good I for one will buy it. :ayatollah:

His post is 100% how he wrote it, I was going to delete it as its his first ever post and it seems very funny that he has gone straight for fans selling the BLUE Hmm I wonder ? and a certain poster doesnt post on here no more. Hmm
Ive left it on for fans to make what they will off it.

Personally I say well done to some fans who use a bit of initiative and not only keep us happy with the Blue, but make a few bob, Billy the Badge has been doing it for 30 years. :ayatollah:

As I already said above so what if people want to use some iniative and make a few quid then best of luck to them, theres obviously a market for the blue and the club are not providing it.

As long as they are not ripping fans off with silly prices but if someone makes a T-shirt for £6-8 quid and sells it for £15 so what?

That person is putting up the capital and taking the financial risk if they dont sell.

Best of luck to them I say.

I agree. As the casual says there's definitely a gap in the market as the club aren't interested in the blue for the foreseeable future
