!2 LOAN DEALS!

Tue Jun 18, 2013 10:50 am

I believe it's stated in Premier League rules that clubs can only have 2 long term loans a season. That is enough for some (certainly not me) to think we have a chance to stay up. However, 2 loan deals could be very useful along side with 3-4 permanent transfers. We only have to look at West Brom with Lukaku, Bolton with Daniel Sturridge, etc.

Here are a few players who have not come through yet or are struggling at their current teams that could play a crucial part in City's survival:

ABOU DIABY

I think he's a slightly under rated midfielder (clearly wasn't by Wenger when he signed!), but he hasn't hit the heights of playing week in week out at the Emirates. He's energetic, strong, good passer and can do a job defensively. I can see he's being modeled by Wenger to be a Yaya Toure type player.

SCOTT SINCLAIR

Now here me out on the 'Jack b*stard'. He's a very good player, scored a hat trick at Wembley to send the Swans to the Premier League. Very quick, good with the ball at his feet and someone to blame when we lose! He was clearly a massive mistake for Man City who look set to loan him out, Man City's loss could have been both Cardiff and Swansea's gain!

LEONARDO BITTENCOURT

Most may never heard of this player before. He has come through the ranks at German giants Borussia Dortmund and made only 2 starts and 3 substitute appearances (in which he managed a goal and an assist). He determined to stay at Dortmund and make a break through at the club, but manager Jurgend Klopp believes a loan to a lesser club will be the quickest way, coupled with the fact that Klopp's looking for a replacement for departing Gotze meaning that Bittencourt won't get his chance next year. He's a pacey winger with skill and a good cross. Could be keeping the likes of Gael Clichy and Bacaray Sagna busy!

JACK ROBINSON

The young left back had a loan spell at Wolves last season and was a massive hit for the short amount of time he was there for. He grabbed an assist in his 11 games played and I hear Deano was very impressed with the 19 year old! He played a couple of Europa League games for Liverpool and has recently had an experience of crashing out of the U-21 European Championships with England. Many Reds believe he's the future for Liverpool and a loan spell at Cardiff could help him reach that first team place for the 2014/15 season!

Do you know of any others? Knowing Malky he won't go for long term loans, but now we're at a new level his transfer policies may be changing!

If Diaby wasn't injury prone I would take him all day.

Diaby is as good as Viera on his day, but injuries have gotten the better of him.

It may be that a change of club would be an improvement for his fitness but, if that is the case, he'd be far too good for Cardiff.

Barcelona were looking at Diaby alongside Alex Song, but chose the latter due to the Frenchman's injury issues.

Gio Dos Santos would be a wonderful loan signing, what with Mallorca suffering relegation.
