DAVIES,REDMOND AND GOMIS.

How would you feel about Curtis Davies and Nathan Redmond joining Cardiff? Both are expected to leave St Andrews shortly.
I think GOMIS is heading out West. :ayatollah:

I would love us to sign them both. Curtis Davies is an experienced centre half at Prem level too. When he was playing alongside Martin Laursen at centre back for Villa about 5 seasons ago they were one of the best defensive partnerships in the Prem, after Ferdinand and Vidic. He had a bad injury then which kept him out for about a season and he never regained his place again due to managerial changes, re-curring injury, form of other centre backs. So, he left Villa for first team football and that is when he joined Brum - who were in the Prem then.

Redmond has got a great future ahead of him and imo i think would be a better and cheaper option than Ince. Anyway, i think Redmond is going to be a better player than Ince, in the next season or two. Redmond can use either feet whereas Ince is so one footed (left). We could get Redmond for less than £4m whereas I can't see Ince leaving Blackpool for anything less than £8m.

So i say that we put a bid in of £5m, for Davies and Redmond and i think Brum may be willing to sell at that price as they are desperate to move on the big earners and they need to raise money, especially as they want to revamp the squad and the only way they can revamp the squad is by selling their top players and recouping enough money to start signing new players.

Bloooooobirds.

Davies and Redmond are not the quality we need to keep us up imo. And why do you think gomis is going out west because of that Wales online article ?

I like Curtis Davies he's a great defender tbf
Redmond is also another good player but I don't think he has the right attitude to fit in here.
Gomis would obviously be a great coup of we can pull it off!

I think something has to be wrong with davies, he was good enough to play premiership football but nobody had a sniff at him.

Why was this?

Redmond looks a tasty player but again nobody has had a proper look. The kid has been talked about as a possible england player in the years to come, but no bids have gone in for him, united had zaha in the bad by jan.

Something must be wrong if top teams aren't bidding on a top english youngster

Curtis hasn't set the world alight at Brum has he?
But given the plight since their fall from the prem who has been setting the world alight at St Andrews?
Uncertainty of monies and ongoing managerial and ownership issues is hardly a good template for a successful side is it.

Personally Hudson And Turner with Young Nugent and Curtis Davies to help him isn't gonna win us the league, but its hardly a catastrophic scenario either.

Cake I can 110% confirm its not because of Wales online.. (Who are usually several hours or even days behind this forum at times  ).

My gut is telling me if it is between us and Swansea he will choose them because of European Football.

If that's the case I hope he scores an own goal when we beat em 2-1  :malky:
