Top man, and a true City legend. His book is a great read, especially the bit about being a copper in Barry

A bloke I worked with back in the late 70s, early 80s, in Sharpe & Fisher, was friendly with Phil Dwyer. Joe used to get him complimentaries. My mate knew Tarki as well. Grangetown boys! Gil Reece used to come in sometimes, after he had retired, to get materials for the plumbing business he ran with his brother Les. Gil was a nice bloke. RIP.
The only City players I met properly were the ones who used to come into Velindre Hospital, more recently, when I was working there. They were all good lads, but Mark Hudson stood out as being especially friendly, and was obviously the club captain!
