Got to say I had great pleasure in meeting big phil for the first time on Sunday.

Phil came to the house i was building a garage on as he new the family and presented me with his book which he signed all as a thankyou from my customer.

Good to see phil and even better i have his signed book i havent stopped smiling since.

Phil is my all time favourite player who is yours and have you ever had the pleasure of meeting them.

It was obvious Phil has always loved the City and when asked of the best player he played with he said Gary Bennet another favorite of mine.

Phil was telling me that he had a training set of boots and a game pair and if he needed new boots he would have to go on and on to get em from the club as money was always tight at the club .

Good day and brought back good memories have you any memories of Phil. :malky: :ayatollah:

Top man, and a true City legend. His book is a great read, especially the bit about being a copper in Barry  A bloke I worked with back in the late 70s, early 80s, in Sharpe & Fisher, was friendly with Phil Dwyer. Joe used to get him complimentaries. My mate knew Tarki as well. Grangetown boys! Gil Reece used to come in sometimes, after he had retired, to get materials for the plumbing business he ran with his brother Les. Gil was a nice bloke. RIP.

The only City players I met properly were the ones who used to come into Velindre Hospital, more recently, when I was working there. They were all good lads, but Mark Hudson stood out as being especially friendly, and was obviously the club captain!

Brian Clark was a true gentleman, met and chatted with him and Bobby Woodruff at Wembley when we played Barnsley, really nice blokes the pair of them.
