In all honesty Daniel they are the best supported club in the World in my opinion, never liked them, but respected them. I wish Fergie had still be there manager when they play us in Cardiff and We were Blue.

I was with my Grandfather and it was complete chaos that day, from the City centre to the ground and in the ground and after the game.

When you say we were Blue, it's mad to think man utd will be coming to town and we will be playing in red

Really looking forward to this one. My best mate who i've known for over 20 years is United through and through (from up that way) and every FA Cup and League Cup draw I've prayed for us to be drawn against each other. Going to do both games with my mate-hopefully get some corporate hospitality at Old Trafford.

Did you go on the coach.
Just the three unmarked coaches in the car park afterwards surrounded by united fans and to top it off the bus broke down on the way home. Very poor turnout by us that day

Yes Steve, I was with Kipper & Clemo. Just outside the ground was a cobbler and I had to get my heal nailed back :laughing6:

Yes annis i remember it well, for all the games and grounds i've been to watching the city, that day, without any doubt was the wildest, it was non stop mayhem from first thing on saturday morning until their fans boarded their trains out of Cardiff, make no mistake about it, they more than met their match that day.

No mate, Pentrebane lads. I remember bumping in to Johny Reynolds at the turnstiles and ignored us and whispered in the corner of his mouth to f**k off and dont talk.

They admit it as well, all the other towns they took over, but they never had their own way at ours :ayatollah:

Why was the attendance only 25 thousand,?N.P had a big capacity in them days Man u. a big draw ,plus their massive away support, didn't they take 10 thousand and more away that season ? or was that just exaggeration.

I remember pleading with my dad to take me or let me go with my mates ( I was 11 at the time).

The old man was having none of it. He knew there would be trouble and made sure I was not allowed out of the house until the game was over!

HE said there was plenty of united that jus would not leave the station cos the police couldnt garantee they saftey and a fair few jus got trains straight backout of cardiff :o :o f**k me how bad culd it have been???? this bloke is a proper old school manx too.
