Kuyt

If one of the expected signings is Dirk Kuyt what can he offer City/

Yes, plenty of Premier League experience but he is getting on and his goals per games ratio is not that good. Would be suprised if MM went for him but who knows.

Would be an excellent signing for us and definitely a Malky type of player. Grafter!

Year younger than bellamy, and will help us in our first season has a lot of class works hard and could be a good partner for Campbell or Maynard.

Wouldn't pay more than a 1m for him, would much rather Ince

Re: Kuyt

He's a grafter and brings lots of experience, don't know if he would be a first team regular mind if we sign our other targets?

Re: Kuyt

Type or signings that would keep us up :ayatollah:

Re: Kuyt

Sun Jun 16, 2013 10:42 pm

Exactly the sort of player we need. Will work his socks off.

Would be a signal of intent, think he's capable of being a top ten player.

Hope this is true, and I've just put £10 on it!

Anyway a chant for him from thebarryhorns, 'Put your hands up for Dirk Kuyt, he loves this city'

Re: Kuyt

Played in a World Cup final 3 years ago.

Why would we want him?

Haha honestly some fans need a reality check.

Welcome Dirk :ayatollah:

because it was 3 years ago......not last week....and as i stated...i would rather younger players....personal choice....or should everbody only want what you think??

This would be a great first signing for us and would be a huge statement of intent. Kuyt has experience, a great work ethic and the ability to create goals. I think if we can get him for £2m or less then it's a bargain. :ayatollah:

I think most may have skipped your post but if the report is true on :- The 31-year-old is thought to have cost the Turkish giants just €1 million (£800,000), due to a clause in his contract concerning European clubs, and, according to the Turkish Stock Exchange, the Netherlands international will net €2.85m (£2.2m) per season, and €17,500 (£14,000) per game.

Lets home it never happens, ridiculously waste of good money....

Re: Kuyt

Exactly what we dont need.
An overpaid overated striker who doesnt score.
What is the point of that ?

Krabb, our youngsters would've watched Bellers and Kyut play in prem on a regular basis. Would've also seen Kyut play in a World Cup final. Now they're gonna be training and playing Premier league football with these players..
How Can That not be good for our club?
No New Wave Youngster will be able to give them that sort of experience.

He is off to Spurs, by all accounts. Matt Phillips would be more realistic target from Bpool.

Re: Kuyt

2.2m is about 42k a week.

I wouldnt want him on that much, but doubt we would be able to get him for less than 35k. thats approx 1.8m a year.

Not really a disaster in the Premier league.
