10 years ago we were promoted to the championship( then div1) and throughout the summer I felt nothing but excitement about playing the likes of forest and derby. Now we are about to play some of the worlds biggest clubs and I feel no excitement what's so ever. The only thing I'm looking forward to is the social side of it, few pints in canton with mates etc. anyone else feel the same?

Let me guess, because we're in red? You're in the small minority.

Utter bullshit from you I think.

Yes, because we're in red. Us proper Cardiff are blue to the bone.

I agree to some extent. Fixtures are out on Thursday and I haven't really given it a second thought.

This should be the best pre-season in years, but it's not the same anymore.

Yes, I'm feeling exactly the same, everything seems different this time round, I always though that when (and if) we got to the PL, during the summer I would be relishing the fact that we would be on the biggest stage of it all! Yet all I'm thinking about is the laughing stock we have become! I will still be there, and would be if we were in Div 4 but all the division between fans, pro blue/pro red, the fact that we aren't in blue to some extent has taken the shine off what should have been the best post/pre season in my 20+ years supporting city!!

Nevermind nothing can be done about it now, VT has made his mind up, so I will swallow this bitter pill and SUPPORT THE BOYS!! :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Nope, I am proper excited about the football. The same as I was in 2003 and also 93 so please dont try and proffess that we are not proper blue / cardiff just because we are still excited about the football Murph.

We can still hate the red and still be excited about the football.

I'm confused. Not sure whether I'm not as excited as I want to be because of the whole re-brand controversy or because I've just become a Dad and the football has taken a back seat. Hopefully, when the season starts I will get the buzz. Not really fussed at the moment but probably think it's because of other priorities.

Well done, congratulations.

My advice is obviously make the kid first for everything but don't let the child dominate your life. A break will be needed and you will to discipline yourself for that. I didn't and I'm convinced it was a mistake.

I didn't actually (although it does look like it!) . I saw something about a fixtures special in the echo on Thurs, but forgot they wouldn't be able to print 'til the following day.

Yes I feel the same because of the pathetic rebrand. Any true CCFC fan is blue through and through, any fan to have actually excepted Cardiff City playing in red is a Johnny come lately glory hunter, who 10 years or so ago would gave been drooling over the red of Liverpool or Man Utd down the pub watching their beloved English PL team on Sky sports, and laughing at the mighty Blues, you can't take anyone seriously that changes colours like they would change their team    :old:

Yes we are all blue to the bone but the choice of colour is out of our hands so why make mountains out of mole hills?

In time we will be back in blue and laughing at how we took all that Malaysian money and created a world class club, or at least some of us will.

You still go down the City don't you? If so then you have accepted it too. I have accepted it but iam still incredibly pissed off about it and i will never wear a Cardiff City piece of merchandise that has the colour red and that ridiculous badge on them, also i have signed up for Bluebirds Unite. I cannot wait for the day that VT has left this club - as long as we are debt free and either in the Premiership or challenging for the Championship title -and we are in the hands of a true football owner, cause when the next ownder does come in the very first thing what he will do is change our colours back to blue, which will be one way in which he can get the fans reunited and on his side. By the way i am 32 and i have been going down the city with my father as soon as i started to walk and i have been a season ticket holder for 25+ years. I am Blue to the core as are 99.9% of City fans, its just that the majority of us have begrudginly accepted it. Listen my fav colour is Blue and my worst colour is Red, i have not got any Red colour clothes, so i aint at all happy with it. Yes, like many others the only thing about us lifting the title last season was that we did it in Red, cause the icing on the cake would have seen us lifting the trophy in Blue. Well it would have for me anyway. I really do think that VT will get bored soon and he will be gone and then we can put things back to how they SHOULD be. Who knows if we do get relegated next season he may have thought that he has got his money back and a lot more and thought i cant bother with another season in the Championship and he may sell the club. Here's hoping and praying anyway (i dont mean that i hope we get relegated).
