The very good friend of mine who is close to the FAW told me a number of times that because they have to be copied into the majority of the paperwork of any transfer offer which takes place between any welsh side then this story is 100% true. For years he has told me this story which I've always doubted to be truthful until he actually swore on his kids life that it did happen.

he said the following:

when City bid for Leo from Doncaster they bid £200,000. However Doncaster thought it was a mistake and the offer was actually £20,000 so they turned the offer down until City said that the bid was £200k and not £20k which Doncaster soon cashed in.

'If' that was the case then is it any wonder SH wasted loads of money when in control ?

Has anyone else heard this story ?

Nope but heard many stories about the welsh fa members and committees looking after themselves whilst welsh football goes down the drain at grass roots and kids levels.
