What is the difference between photoshop and photoshop elements?

I want the ability to create designs for banners and pictures so which program should I look to buy?

Elements is a watered down version of photoshop minus all the advanced stuff like filters and actions. You can get an Adobe cloud account for £38 a month (I think) which gives you access to all the creative suite. I think you can also get a standalone photoshop from them for a bit cheaper monthly. That is if you don't want to pay mega bucks for software which gets a major revamp every 2 years. Go monthly if I was you as you can cancel anytime.

I use Photoshop CS6 and it costs £17 per month by subscription.

As for differences. Well Photoshop is immense. I just use it for a few scripts and colour enhancement with my photography - and those that buy match day program's will see some of my images and what Photoshop can do.

Elements is pretty much tabs with automatic algorithms to carry out things. Photoshop is more manual but gives you a lot more control. If I was you i'd get Photoshop, put the time in and learn it using tutorials online. There's loads of them around. YouTube has plenty Carl. Also, if I were you i'd torrent it first or least torrent an older version, give it a try and then if you think its good subscribe for the legit version.

Dont just torrent it and then keep it as you wont get the benefit of updates and so on. I got a torrent version at the moment but im subscribing soon. Also, if you have a daughter/son in university and they have no need for Photoshop make sure you use their email to get the student version. You can get the full Suite for cheap.

Photoshop is the best tool available in my opinion.

You can get an older version of photoshop free of charge - Adobe have stopped providing support for CS2 and have released a full version with the registration code which will do everything you need it to.
