Why buy red.......

Sat Jun 15, 2013 10:17 am

......when you can buy blue?

The CCS will almost certainly be at least 80% blue like it was at the end of last season so anyone wearing red will be in a small minority. Away games will be even less red. If this continues, and I'm sure it will if last season is anything to go by, then we can say, yes we turn up and support our team regardless of what colour they wear, but you cannot make us fans wear that incongruous colour and we will stay in blue even if you give us tacky free scarves to try and get us to go along with this ridiculous synthetic rebranding.

The red kit is nice and its also the colours we wore in our championship winning season. To you it may mean nothing but to me it's a kit the club I support was successful in. I'd rather blue but red is still part of us now whether you like it or not. Better to embrace it than to see it as a horrible memory of the rebranding.

Who's making you do anything?

Wish these posts would stop.

You say you'd rather blue, but by buying and wearing a red top you are telling tan the exact opposite. You are making the return to blue harder to achieve. If no one bought red and the fans continue to wear blue in the numbers they were last season, they will get the message.

You can still support the club in blue as we have done throughout our history and as thousands will be next season.

Nobody is making anyone do anything. We al have our own minds, some will go along with tans pantomime and, thankfully the majority will continue to wear blue.

And if you want these posts to stop you should maybe contact mr tan and tell him to change us back to blue, because until he does the animosity and bad feeling will continue.

Half, if not more of the support at home do not show colours, even in the spring/summer fixtures. The whole subject is pretty pointless - everyone wears coats (or jarrkets!! :D ) so it's apointless argument.

Supporters will wear what they want, no club owner and no supporters group will change that.

f*cking gets me down sometimes. If you want to wear blue, wear blue but f*cking get off peoples backs. You are not doing your cause any favours whatsoever

There are plenty of pro red wum's on here, many of them posting to get a reaction themselves, Malky is a god is one point in case. They come on here clearly looking to get a bite and I'm more than happy to go along with it.

As I said, we are all grown ups, well most of us, we've all got our own minds and opinions, that what message boards are for, and we can all take a bit of piss taking, if not you are in the wrong place.

That's why people like you don't get support and why the blue at any cost brigade are a minority, as soon as someone disagrees with you then they're a WUM or a sellout or scum. People can wear what they want. Really, I don't think it's me who needs to grow up. I just want to see football, support my city's team and be done with it. Tan is here to stay and we'll be red for that time and a mature person would understand that nothing we do will stop him. Only he can bring himself down.

I agree that the wum's make the problem worse mate (and they are on both sides of the argument).
it's an emotive subject and it doesn't need fueling any further.

people should just respect each others viewpoint and remember that the real enemy is 40 miles west as far as I'm concerned

Because its our home shirt and its also a way of showing support to the magnificent job Vincent tan is doing at the club

I have never and would never call anyone scum or a sellout. There is no doubt that there are a few red wums on here and I have no problem with that, I can wind them up as much as they want.

Also you are suggesting that anyone that anyone that opposes the rebrand is immature!!!!

You may as well get used to anti red posts, because a year later and despite the undoubted success on the pitch, the rebrand issue is as big now as it's ever been and it is not going to go away.

BLUE ARMY!

You're trying to quelle blue dissent by repeatedly stating in a matter of fact way that the cause is hopeless. In reality you don't know the first thing about VT.

I've seen enough to know the score. Tan would make Stalin proud tbh. At least I'm not in denial.
