Well done to BU

A coherent and mature protest (Ghandi would be proud)!

Its whats needed - whilst I've been largely ambivalent about the change to Red (although stating I would never buy the merchandise or wear it myself) - I think I would explain my ambivalnece largely down to the fact that there was no way of attaching myself to a movement to get us back in Blue since none existed - so the only option really as an individual was accept it, or stop following the club. I would never stop following the club so I accepted it based the fact that the consequences of driving Tan away didnt bear thinking about. Reconciled this with myself in that we arent the only club to have changed colour (and certainly wont be the last).

Also, the amount of vitriol and abuse directed towards Tan was something I would not wish to associate myself with. However, this group is what the fans have needed - and lets face it we dont actually have a good track record of being able to organise ourselves propoerly - look at the Trust and all the in-fighting around that - you could argue if the Trust had a bit more bite and clout that they could have brought some influence to bear on Tan and the board.

So we have a movement and if it keeps its head and does not get abusive then it will only grow in support. For the record I reckon there will be nothing more effective than wearing Blue to home games and boycotting all club merhcandise - can you imagine the effect if we effectively have even half the ground signed up to wearing blue to every home game would have - the best form of protest you could have. It's in his face every game then, in a defiantly respectful way.

If that makes sense.
