ON A FOOTBALL FORUM THEY WERE ON ABOUT THE LEAST AWAY FANS WHEN WE PLAYED EXETER IN A LEAGUE CUP GAME OR LEYLAND DAF IN THE EIGHTIES SURE THERE WAS ONLY ONE FAN ON THE GRANGEND .WONDER IF HE HAD A SPECIAL MENTION IN THERE PROGRAMME AT NEXT GAME OR IF HE STILLS GO NOW.

Yes I remember Exeter did only bring one away fan.
Halifax brought about 11 fans once, the first half of the game there were 6 of them, the rest arrived second half(Petrol strike at the time).

But Ive been away with Cardiff with only 11 fans.

It couldn't have been Rochdale away on a tuesday night Annis we took 16000 to those games :laughing6: :laughing6:
Scarboro away was the lowest away following for me i think it was less than 50..

Was going to mention the Halifax game, if it's the same one we're thinking about. Around 2000 with Craig Middleton on the opposing team? Avid Halifax followers :ayatollah:

Jinks,

It was Gillingham away 11 fans. 50 to Preston, 100 to places like Rochdale, Tranmere and Carlisle, I was at everyone of them and I loved every minute of it. I remember the nights well and the faces that were there. :ayatollah:

I respected everyone of those Halifax fans and happy to see them back in the 5th division for next season. :ayatollah:

Mate of mine in the air force used to come watch City with me and he was from Stafford so one Tueday night we went to watch Stafford at Kettering; me, him and a scouse lad also from the RAF who'd seen City a few times. We were the only three on the Stafford end and started a conversation with the Stafford keeper whose name I recognised as a loan player from Coventry, (a team supported by one of my room-mates) and I knew he was a young Welsh lad.

Martyn Thomas. When I asked him where he was from he replied 'Swansea' to which he spent the rest of the first half under a barrage of 'you jack b*stard' from the three of us. He took it well though and even came the length of the pitch to shake our hands at the end of the second half. Seven genuine Stafford fans turned up at half time. Crowd just over 2000.

I remember the Halifax game in the middle of the fuel strike, it pissed me off a bit that the grange were giving them some stick about the amount of them, I thought they were f*cking heroes to be fair.
