They're in good company, Real Madrid and Man City are also being investigated.

Man City bought the naming rights from the council for £2million then sold it onto Etihad for £35Millon.

I think your a bit mixed up its not fifa its the EU, and the swans did pay £1.2 million towards the stadium last season, another non-story, as nothing will come of it, and its not even swansea they are looking into it some dutch club, and didnt cardiff council give the land(free of charge) that legoland was built on.

I think it's more to do with multiple million pound businesses using the public purse to get facilities on the cheap and then screwing the public out of cash.

They are trying to prove that the Etihad deal was already in place when Man City got the rights on the cheap.

I thought you didn't read the sun? Or do you only read it when the storylines suit your agendas?

You should give Angel Rangel a call when your hungry. Im sure the food he hands out to the homeless smack rats are far nicer than the posts you bite on here. :thumbright:

i dont and am disapointed wen any links to the filthy rag go up on here however it certainly look like the house of cards is
colapsing around the 'peoples club' the manager aint happy and wants out cos the 'peoples club' wont give him the money he
needs. now it seems the council are also being fobbed off. but swansea have history here. debts are something the other guy
pays eh?

Is that the same Vorm who made his debut for Holland 5 years ago? 3 years before he joined Swansea? :?:

So your first statement "that's what coming to a club (even on loan) like swansea does for a players career " was not true in Vorms case then.

Thanks for confirming. :thumbright:

I notice that nothing was mentioned about the £1m+ revenue the Swans RECEIVED from the Stadium Management Company for ticket sales in the hospitality areas. So on balance the Swans pay about £200k every year to the Stadium Management Company who in return pay ALL stewarding, Policing and Stadium Maintenance costs. Anyone really believe that only costs £200k per year.

Also ask the Council why they wrote off £2.37m they paid to fit out the stadium hospitality areas, the same areas which deliver SCFC £1M+ per year income. Income for the Council since the stadium opened a big fat ZERO.

I think that's what you call state aid.

It's not just the running costs.
There is also the question of rent -or if owned by the club interest and debt repayment costs.
For example CCFC effectively bear the cost of constructing the CC Stadium via a proportion of the club's debt and in the interest paid thereon.
The running costs-maintenance,repairs,insurance, power and others would come on top of the basic rent. Business rates are on top of that.then of course match day costs.
If the stadium was rented from a third party(think Coventry) rent would be payable, let's say at a minimum of £400k pa.with the running costs on top of that.

So all in all El Stadium Jacko Municipalo provides our shoulder chipped friends an astounding deal.
