Raising money for Alzheimer's any help?

Mon Jun 10, 2013 8:09 pm

Could anyone help me get a signed shirt or something signed so I can help my girlfriend raise money for Alzheimer's!! It's a charity that is seriously lacking in funds! She recently lost her grandfather to Alzheimer's and she's finding it hard at the moment, he brought her up and the last 4 years she's looked after him and found it really hard especially as she's only 22. While her friends were out enjoying their younger years she's been working and then coming straight home to help out! I respect her so much for what she's done and she's trying to raise a little amount for Alzheimer's by doing a walk with her friend. I've seen how much some shirts go for on eBay and something like that would be way over her target. She doesn't know I'm doing this and I know she would appreciate it because I've seen her reaction when someone donates £5 to her. This is a serious post so please nobody reply with Nasty comments, thanks :malky: :ayatollah: I hope someone can help me !

Thanks mate, it's not nice to see my gf go through it, people don't realise how hard it is and for a young 22 year old to go through what my missis went through its a big eye opener! Hope someone can help me out just to see how happy it would make my misses, because she gets over the moon off a fiver, so the amount a shirt would go for or something signed would probably make her year!

Ask a few players and even certain board members on twitter and they just ignore it, it really winds me up, how hard can it be to grab a pair of boots or old top out of the house and put a signature on it.. It costs them nothing, just an old bit of kit, but too someone else could mean a lot and make a difference!

I'm 16 and my dad has Alzheimer's while I'm doing a-levels, I'd put money towards anything you were planning.
