Fans moaning about membership/season tickets

Mon Jun 10, 2013 8:30 am

love how all these 'seasoned' Cardiff fans are moaning they couldn't get season tickets and now club are charging membership for home games I have couple points
(1) How come didn't have season ticket last year? You would have one for this season and the finance package made it easy
(2) If you didn't get one due to not being able to attend all games why moan about paying £40 to get some sort of priority to games you will easily have chance for Southampton, Hull and Watford or coincidently your days off on Man Utd , Liverpool and Chelsea fixtures?
(3) IF YOU DONT LIKE IT GO BACK TO BEING ARMCHAIR MAN UTD FAN LIKE YOU HAVE FOR LAST 10 YEARS

I do apolagise I ment CrystalPalace serves my right for reading about Waford before lol

Re: Fans moaning about membership/season tickets

The 1st point some people are not exactly fully loaded with money and could maybe have got a job where it doesn't enable them to attend even at least 5-10 games.

But I do kind of agree with the stupid moaning. These fans have a chance to get priority over others and should be taking advantage if they didn't get a season ticket or missed out.

Personally if it is going to be released now then fans have plenty of time to save £40 now so it is kind of good their going to announce it around this month.

And it's because thousands of people have this similar ridiculous mentality that football fans will continue having the piss taken out of them by their clubs. They want £40 before you can buy tickets? you're having a f*cking laugh. Anyway, in the end fans will get the club they deserve, enjoy

Not everyone can afford the time/money to go to every game. Some live away, have family commitments or work! It doesn't make them any less of a fan!

SPOT ON BAZ  I currently reside in Edinburgh and have a young family,so i will not be able to attend every home and away game. i have been called a plastic, armchair and even a bar stool supporter.but my passion for the club is as strong now as it has always been. if i have to pay £40,for a membership on top of ticket prices then so be it.

To the OP,where have fans been moaning about fees and tickets?
Personally id rather see fans moaning about the prices of modern football than see fans attempting to belittle other fans and label them "ARMCHAIR MAN UTD FAN LIKE YOU HAVE FOR LAST 10 YEARS" but that's just me. :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

All this ''plastic' talk has got the die hard, bleed blue fans getting all competitive to try and prove they are 'real' fans.

Clubs have been taking the piss of us fans for a long time, this £40 up front and non refundable just for the chances to buy a ticket is indefensible especially in these tough times.

If you run a business you try to make as much money as you can, what is wrong with that, if people moan about having to pay the £40 "simple" don't do it. At the end of the day we are now a premiership team and things like this are part of that.

You can make money without having to rip the fans off.

Swansea = club for the poor, in admin, shameless scum.

Cardiff = club for working class, never in admin, live like a boss.

If you can't afford the £40 then maybe u should support the first one.

I think his point is that we never have been, yes we have been close "very" but we haven't

Re: Fans moaning about membership/season tickets

As a long term season ticket holder the £40 charge doesn't affect me personally.

However, looking at it rationally from the outside it does seem very punitive to charge non-season ticket holders £40 for an opportunity to apply for match day tickets without a assurance of success.

Re: Fans moaning about membership/season tickets

Mon Jun 10, 2013 8:19 pm

If the membership is put on sale around now then there is nothing to complain about.

Spot on, if we were going to expand our stadium it could slightly affect in the long haul.

f**k off you know nothing about me. ive had a season ticket when i had a better paying job as it goes. i wont go down without my lad and we dont go in family stand so its pretty unaffordable to buy 2 season tickets on minimum wage bro. whats so ridiculous about expecting to buy reasonabley priced match day tickets for a team i used to watch for about 4quid in the turnstyles when i was a kiddie. knob

Sense at last, I ain't moaning cos I've got a Season tkt I can use for a few games thanks to a friend but yes, like many I live away and have since 1986,

Ill get my away membership as usual and see what happens, it's gonna be hard for some people to get tickets for some games including me, but lets just enjoy the ride...., :ayatollah:

Think the club are right to do it, just not everyone can afford it or as Chuckles said they live away and work gets in the way..that's me....
