To buy a home match ticket you will need to be a member next season . membership will cost £40 and you still will not be guaranteed a ticket if demand is higher than tickets available .
There will be no just walk up and buy on the day for general sale which is designed to stop people just buying for man utd Liverpool etc .

Sounds like a good idea. It will stop the plastic man utd fans from taking tickets away from real supporters.

I don't know all the details yet I just know they will be using a membership system and around a £40 charge .

I am assuming season ticket holders could buy extra tickets without paying an extra membership fee? My dad will want to go to a few games but won't want to pay a £40 membership fee. I'm assuming I can just buy tickets for him if I have a season ticket.

From your own experience, I don't see how this system will stop Man U, Liverpool fans getting tickets, if they can just become a member for the one game, just like you did? It's just another case of clubs milking the cash cow for every last drop of milk

Probably be a separate membership for away tickets. There obviously trying to get every penny out of being in the premiership. It's not like they've got £60m in TV money they still want to screw the customer, I mean fan. I don't understand the need to charge such a big fee unless they are going to keep match day prices similar to last year. I am expecting them to go up 50% at least.

I've been going for 8 years and I've never been to an away game. Doesn't interest me.

It was a genuine question & one which was worth asking. Would the membership include both home & away games. Totally fair question.

It has been for the past few years, but this change could affect that price too.. Or the two could possibly incorporated.

It's also about 'controlling' those who want to go to (home and/or away) games...and that costs money to do

Hopefully, it will avoid the 'free-for-all' syndrome that would appear for certain games at least, and give 'more regular' supporters a better opportunity to get tickets for those big games

I would be largely in favour of tickets being sold for bigger games on a 'previousl attendance' basis

Then again, it doesn't affect me because I have a season ticket; priceless!

Bit gutted actually as I was hoping to get home for one or 2 or games this year. The extra 40 is really going to put me off i'm afriad especially because i'll be buying an away membership as well. Cant justify spending 60 quid in membrship fees.

When you word it like that, it's ridiculous that such a cost could be charged for what is basically a glorified administration fee..

I hope that the £40 being bandied around is inclusive of both home & away membership.
