Velikonja fails to get a start in the Championship and is now a target for Champions League side Sociedad? You couldn't write this script.

Sell him.

Unfortunately the move to City has not worked out for Velikonja and I got to say in the development games I seen him play and the FA Cup defeat to Macclesfield, he was nowhere near the standard we need.

Hopefully it'll be accepted. Get him off the wage bill and get the transfer fee back.

It's f*cking bollocks, the news broke in January, keep up everyone, the fact of the matter is that there isn't a bid for Eti from them. Real Sociedad finished in the Champions League spots but are without a manager. Therefore it's VERY unlikely that a bid has been made.

Man City don't have a manager, yet they sorted a £30m signing.

The lad has loads of ability, Sharp and knows where the goals are. Seen him in most the games he played, Newcastle last Aug was one of our best players, Did well when coming on against Brighton, the cup game just had nothing of quality around him.
Some top class goals for the Development side. Could surprise a lot of people should Malky use him, the lad has the right attitude to make it.

Man City have always had that sort of way with deals, do you really think Mancini wanted Sinclair and Rodwell etc? Nope he didn't Marwood dominated it. Sociedad are run differently

I feel the same way, great job for the reserves but could be cut it in the premier league? I was excited when we signed him and still think, given the chance, he could've cut it in the championship. But in malky I trust.

Eh, perhaps, but you say they're without a manager - assistant Arrasate was given the job days ago.

They also have a recruitment system that allows them to buy without a manager in news recently, ,several clubs use same system

I don't understand how he got through Malkys strict dossier system!

Let's just get back what we can for him now, as he will not get a game in the prem

I heard he was a Tan signing recommended by Jose Mourinho when they met. If its true then thats how he got through Malky's dossier.

Carl said that a few months ago. Yet I can't imagine Mourinho scouting too many Maribor players, can you?

carl did say yeah but that's only what he heard not that it is true, but I don't get it since malky have stated in the past that he been tracking eti while he was at Watford so he must of knew what to expect from eti

Was not given 1st team game time, for reason in our manager we trust.

So if this is true i would sell,as ( IMO ) we are looking to bring in another striker.

If we almost make our money back on him then that would be a great deal! English football is not for Velikonja but maybe he could do it in a less physical league.
