Robert Earnshaw..

To the people who wanted him to play a part in the 12/13 season, be embarrassed. Can't even cut it in the MLS
So sure, sign him up, there's a lot more pressing concerns for TFC's squad right now and any stability we can get is a good thing. But let's not expect him to be one of the key parts of the team going forward, mainly due to his age, but also because of his inconsistency. He's a decent stop gap solution, very much an average MLS striker. As long as he continues to be paid that way, and isn't given too long of a deal, (I'd be wary of anything beyond the 2014 season) then it would be a good bit of business, just not the unqualified success it seemed a couple of months back.

Speaking of that by the way, is he still on the clubs payroll?

I thought he joined them permanently at the end of February? I may be wrong though..

I know its not gospel but according to wikipedia he's scored 5 in 10 games for them, so he can't be doing that badly surely

He still only scored a few less than Miller in the MLS and Millers been there for almost 2 years  . Earnie will get a club in the MLS even if Toronto don't sign him. By Red bulls have been looking at him I'm sure he'd love the chance to play with Henry :ayatollah: #propercardifflegend

In fact They've both scored 5 in the MLS but Miller played twice as many games as Earnie :ayatollah:

We broke Miller though.

The first half of the season with us and the rest of his career he was a consistent goal scorer.

6 Months running around chasing balls aimed up to our non existent 6ft7 centre forward and his finishing brain's shot

No one's ever really doubted Earnie would score more goals it;'s just we would have probably scored less as a team and conceded more with him up front rather than Miller or Helguson.

hes scored 5 in 13 league games according to the MLS website. League top scorer has 10 in 14.

Marco di Valo has 9 in 12 and must be nearing 40!

I think 12 different clubs have players who have scored more than him. Hes never going to set alight any league these days, but fair to the lad for going in search of first team football no matter where it is.

To be fair Earnie is at the worst club in the MLS if he was a t a better club I'm sure he would have scored more. Just under a goal in every 2 games is good especially when you consider it's like him being at Peterborough or Bristol :laughing6: in the championship
