Alleged Chelsea, Liverpool and Cardiff target may leave as club look to avoid free transfer


Transfer News: Lyon are not willing to let alleged Chelsea, Cardiff and Liverpool target Befetimbi Gomis leave the club on a free transfer, president Jean-Michel Aulas has confirmed.

The striker is out of contract next summer and could leave the club on a free transfer then, meaning that the French outfit may sell this year to benefit from a transfer fee.

The Lyon striker is out of contract next summer, and has previously been linked with Cardiff, Chelsea and Liverpool.

Aulas said: “We don’t want a player who is quoted at €15million (£12.7m) to leave as a free agent.”

Can't see him going to Chelsea they will go for a bigger name, aslong as suarez stays he won't end up at Liverpool because they just signed that iago aspas who's also a striker. Maybe spurs or arsenal could come in for him mind because they've also been linked

He won't go to Chelsea, they're keeping Lukaku and already have Ba and Torres, not to mention they're close to signing Cavani as well

Liverpool is the most likely but I expect that depends on Suarez leaving

Depends if he wants to play regular football or not I guess

Doubt Liverpool would go for him and if we were to go for him then it won't be easy and MM will be monitoring the situation.

He will either join us or another club. He wont go to any of them. If Liverpool get any player from Ligue 1 it'll be Aubameyang.
