Cardiff remain keen on Lille forward Salomon Kalou.
The Ivory Coast international has an offer from Olympiakos in Greece but said: ‘Playing in the Premier League was amazing and I want to have that feeling again. It is still the best league in the world.
'The supporters there are so passionate and know everything about the game.’

He would be a good addition in my opinion. not sure about how much wages he would want though?

Reportedly on £65k per week and turned down Arsenal last summer because they wouldn't pay him £80k per week

Be a good signing for us , could see him playing as a wide man cutting in helping the lone striker creating chances and scoring a few himself

I would not expect Olympiakos to offer him more than £40 - £50k per week so if we are really in for him I would see us having a realistic chance of getting him. We could certainly offer him better wages but he may be looking for a long term contract.

How old is he now? If he stil plays like his chelsea days and we keep his wages down, a decent squad addition. Haven't seen him play since he's left chelsea.

He turns 28 before the start of the season. Should be at his prime

Not a bad signing in all honesty, just gotta keep his wages down

To be fair he has a great attitude and would fit in well with the group of players we have now. I do worry about his wage though.

Would rather 3-4 good players on one mans wages than him tbh

I was thinking exactly the same.

Wages paid by Greek teams are piss poor compared to UK. Even the top players are not on more than £2m a year.
Rumours are that he is on between £50k and £65k per week at Lille but he is on a contract to 2016. If he really wants to get back to the Premiership then he may take a pay cut but assuming that Lille want to keep him then they would demand a substantial fee. If Kalou is on a contract to 2016 then he will want at least the same here. Make sense to you now!
I reckon if we played him as a proper centre forward he would get bags of goals. Chelsea always played him out of position hence his goal ratio was not that good on paper.
