TAN SELLING OFF SOME 7-ELEVEN STORES

Thu Jun 06, 2013 2:50 pm

Tan seems to be selling some stuff off, and trying to rise money on the Malaysia stock market as we know.

Nothing wrong with that Just hope he does not need the money. WHEN will loans be turned into shares.

As don't want him to up a leave putting us in shit like sam did, owing millions of pounds.

Anyone know when the loans will be turned into shares, deal with sam any closer? :ayatollah:

I did not at any time accuse him of being a mastermind, maybe he is just lucky! But whichever it is you dont make money by keeping unprofitable parts of an Empire.

He is retiring.

He has already stood down from his major business as chair of the Beraja Group and is now liquidating his shares in a few businesses in an attempt to look philanthropis by giving loads of his personal wealth to charity.

Cardiff City is his retirement hobby. :D

You make money by making a profit. something he failed to do with this group of stores. Perhaps they just weren't stocking enough red. :D

A quick check on the net shows that Tan owns the 7-Eleven stores as part of his own private investment and he is looking to sell up to 49% of the shares. If they sell the company will be valued at $800million

So he is keeping over half the company and cashin in about $400million. Nice work if you can get it.

Who said it wasn't profitable?

"7-Eleven is a cash cow for Berjaya Retail. In the fiscal year 2010, the 24-hour convenience store operator earned around RM1.31 billion in revenue and RM36.7 million in net profit."

Now I know you're on the wind up.

I've already said that he is selling shares to get money for his retirement and to give to charity. He hasn't told me personally, it's just what is written on open source information in the press and on the net.

Well he must have some talent for making money as his origins are working class within humble surroundings a little like you and me really! only difference as it seems from through some sheer fluke and no masterclass busness skills :o he managed to become a dollar billionaire and probably has enough loose change in his high waisters to buy you and your entire families assets

He hasn't told you personally, yet you attribute it to his retirement, which is yet another positive spin on a story you know very little about. try and forget his money for a minute. and be a bit more objective.

I would just like to remind you of the size of the shopping mall (with an internal theme park including it) he is building in China!

If you still aren't aware of it, google it! Perhaps he's run out of bricks?

It simply didn't 'take off' there, so no point in keeping it open. However, all their stuff (and some of it is pretty good) is still available on-line ;) :ayatollah:
